Staff was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the proximity to lots of restaurants and amenities. The view from the room was phenomenal and we loved the bedroom which opened up to the skyline. We watched the NYE fireworks from our living room and balcony and were afforded a view of the entire horizon and the Melbourne cbd fireworks. The drawsides were the bedsheets and lack of pillows, as well as a very slight reduced cleanliness but this appeared to be more of a used and lived in quality. Overall it was a great apartment and I would recommend.

Not what we expected
We made our booking several weeks in advance, but our room allocation was changed multiple times before we even arrived. Before check-in, we received a phone call advising that, instead of the room type we originally booked, we would be given two rooms next to each other. However, when we arrived to check in, we were told there had been another maintenance issue and our booking had been changed again. This time, we were allocated two rooms on completely different floors, and staff said there was nothing else they could do.
What was most disappointing was the lack of communication. No one contacted us before our arrival to let us know about this latest change. We even called ahead to ask about parking before we arrived, and that would have been the perfect opportunity to explain the room change, but nothing was mentioned.
The rooms themselves were also below expectations. There were no clothes hangers, not enough cutlery for everyone, no spare bin liners, and the body wash dispenser was empty. We informed reception about the missing hangers and empty body wash, but nothing was done. Throughout our stay, we had to make repeated trips to reception just to request more laundry detergent, dishwasher liquid, and bin bags.
The cleanliness also left a lot to be desired. The TV and windows had visible marks and hadn't been properly wiped down. For a two-bedroom apartment, having only a two-seater couch wasn't practical or comfortable for the number of guests. When we asked for extra towels, we were told there would be an additional charge, which was disappointing given the other issues we had already experienced.
Overall, the service, communication, cleanliness, and room standards were well below what we expected. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we won't be returning.

Our stay at SkyOne Hotel in Box Hill was generally good, but two problems really stood out:
1. Washing machine unusable
Dirty shoes were left inside the washing machine when we arrived, and no one removed them. We couldn’t use it for our entire stay.
2. Extremely poor after‑hours check‑in
Despite calling 30 minutes before arrival as instructed, the after‑hours concierge was still half an hour away when we arrived. He told us to wait in the shopping centre with our large luggages.
He finally showed up one hour later, then spent another 20 minutes on his phone yelling at someone before rushing us to sign the check‑in form without reading it. When questioned about the delay, he blamed public transport and said he wasn’t hotel staff, just helping. Excuse me???
The whole process took 1.5 hours and completely ruined the start of our stay.
Overall: The hotel itself is fine, but I strongly do not recommend relying on their after‑hours concierge service.

The staff were not very nice. When i enquired about carparking , they were rude and unhelpful , the apartment was beautiful and the kids loved the swimming pool and spa.

Room was actually a good size, clean and modern. Staff were nice and supportive.
The only issue is ask for a higher floor if possible or a room not facing the city as every morning from 3:30am onwards you will hear deliveries for the fresh food market at Box Hill Central. Very loud. Still i would stay here again, just hopefully different room. Its a good location in Box Hill
