Wonderful
We love the hotel. The location is perfect, you can do all the main sights of Sydney by walking. We were very well served and the room was very comfortable. The room view to the Sydney Opera House is a separate spectacle. We would definitely stay in the hotel again.

Four Seasons review
Just a very average hotel, which was really disappointing considering this is supposed to be a five-star property.
The photos used to advertise the rooms were quite misleading. We were excited about the room we booked, only to arrive and find a much smaller room that looked nothing like what we expected. I understand that photos can vary, but they should at least be representative of the room category being sold.
The service was also average and didn’t reflect the level of hospitality you’d expect from a luxury hotel. For the price we paid per night, the experience simply wasn’t worth it.
Given the Four Seasons reputation, I expected more. Overall it was a very underwhelming stay.

Disappointed
Disappointing..
We usually stay at The Fullerton in Sydney and we can’t fault that hotel! Sadly we left our booking too late and The Fullerton were full so we stayed at The Four Seasons further down George street. It is rated the same 5 star do we thought it would be similar, no it’s not.
Upon arrival it’s near impossible to get from the front door to the check in desk with being accosted by the door men/bell hops wanting to take your bags. Clearly they could see we were able to manage the small carryon bag ourselves, but we were asked by four different people if they could take our bag ( obviously looking for a tip)
Upon checkin we headed to our room and noticed it was small, very stuffy and very close to the room next door.
There were stains on the carpet, which had us wondering what they were, but after heading back to the lift to check out Sydney we shared the lift with a fog and its owner, we then were wondering if the stains were from dogs? We would never have booked this hotel had we known people bring their dogs.
The location is good, a few metres from circular quay.
We returned to our room later that evening after walking 25kms wanting a shower and rest but sadly the open air nightclub across the street doesn’t finish until 1am so the loud thumping music is something you have to listen to until they finish, not ideal at all.
The hotel foyer was very strange as people were using the waiting area to eat their meals which really stunk out the reception area.
It wasn’t a 5 star hotel, more like a 3 star.
We won’t be staying there again unfortunately.

Book a room with a view
We stayed here in 3 different room categories, at a total of 5 nights during 2 separate stays in July 2026. We started in a clean and nice Deluxe City Room which was very basic (also no amenities that are worth mentioning) and upgraded to a Studio Suite which had a very nice view over the CBD and the Opera House. In the Suite the amenities were great and the service was incredible! I asked reception for a bathrobe for my daughter and mentioned we wanted to watch a movie later in the evening. We were then surprised with popcorn, snacks and drinks in the which was absolutely amazing and will remain as a perfect memory for us.
We then stayed in a Deluxe Harbour Room after returning to Sydney. This room was well equipped with amenities and we enjoyed the view. We also had room service one evening which was okay.
We had breakfast at Mode only one morning and were not really impressed by the buffet and service there. It is quite loud, dark and hectic and the variety is not impressive. This would be my only negative for this hotel.
I especially liked the staff at the reception who were incredibly good at their job and very friendly, helpful and welcoming.
I can recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
