Experienced a wonderful vacation

We experienced a wonderful vacation. The Alpengasthof/Hotel Hörnlepass is simply highly recommended. Beautiful, cozy, very clean rooms. The breakfast buffet is very extensive and offers something for everyone, very delicious. The entire selection from the kitchen is very delicious. We had booked half-board and were consistently more than very satisfied with the food. One of the two hotel managers is a chef and understands his craft. The two hotel managers, brothers, and their mother, the former hotel manager, run the hotel in a very family-oriented way; we felt like we had arrived on vacation right away. The service staff in the restaurant are very friendly and always in a good mood.
The Alpengasthof Hörnlepass definitely deserves 5 stars.

The hotel "right at the top of the mountain" is highly recommended.

For the last few years, we have always been "traveling" all over the world or "relaxing vacation" "on the island". After various trips in Switzerland until about 20 years ago, we now wanted to go "to the mountains" again. Due to age, however, "not so high up". What can I say: The Kleinwalsertal valley and the selected hotel "Alpengasthof Hörnlepass" are top-notch.
The family-run "3-star plus" hotel exceeds expectations. Friendly welcome, renovated rooms of a pleasant size (40 sqm) 2nd floor, balcony with a distant view, renovated outdoor facilities and common areas, cozy restaurant with a large outdoor terrace (good for eating and having breakfast outside in the weather of the last few days), the half-board "is worth its money" and is absolutely recommended. (Exception: Vegetarians should only choose breakfast and select something individually from the veggie menu in the evening)
To be highlighted: the "family" atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness, idyllically located, very relaxing and quiet surroundings. (Important in July / August, as "the place is hopping" in the valley) Bus connection directly at the house.
The entire 1st floor can also be booked with a dog. This is obviously being used frequently. The dogs were without exception unobtrusive and easy to tolerate.
It was noticeable that there are obviously many smokers in the hotel. Quite different from the "daily environment" otherwise. Anyone who cannot (anymore) tolerate that should not take a balcony and should not sleep with an open window from 6:30 AM.
Conclusion: The hotel "right at the top of the mountain" is highly recommended.

Super delicious for fair price

We went there for dinner. A real highlight! The buffet was very varied and the food was refilled regularly. It tasted fantastic! Especially the price-performance ratio convinced me, you get really good quality here for fair money. Very friendly staff! I will definitely come back!

Family business to feel comfortable

We spent some nice days with our Labrador dog Raya in the beautiful hotel again like last year. Wonderful food and very good Service. Breakfast and dinner with dog was no problem. Our room no. 105 very large and also very cozy for the three of us :-) Unfortunately we were mostly out in the rain, but enjoyed our small hikes very much. We will definitely come back!
