We loved our stay here. Room small but everything was great 👍. Nice comfortable beds. Spotlessly clean. Good location for train station to explore.

Excellent stay in a modern property.

We stayed at this hotel for a few days and had a very good experience. The property is modern, clean, and well organized. The room is basic, as one expects from an ibis budget, but it has everything necessary for a comfortable stay.
The kindness and helpfulness of the staff, always friendly and ready to help, were much appreciated. The breakfast was also excellent, with a good selection of products.
The location is convenient: the Gent-Dampoort station is nearby and the historic center is also reachable on foot. The hotel's common areas are also very comfortable, pleasant for relaxing after a day in the city.
Overall, excellent value for money. A property that I definitely recommend for visiting Ghent.

Pros: Room was spotlessly clean, bed was comfortable and the en suite bathroom was everything you needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. The common areas looked modern and inviting. Short walking distance to a railway station, buses, supermarkets and some cheap food options.
Cons: The rooms are small and basic. The location is not in the medieval heart of Ghent but rather in a working-class area a 20 minute walk from the main tourist sites. But this is, as the name clearly states, a budget hotel and is excellent value for money in an expensive city.

Budget shouldn’t neglect the bare basics

I stayed in this hotel with work recently. I travel all over the world and stay in any hotel that is available from budget to 5 star, depending on what is available at the times.
This is a budget hotel so I wouldn’t assume any bells ad whistles but, I do expect the rooms to be cleaned regularly. After asking several time for my room to be cleaned and having to get my own towels I did notice that housekeeping had the. Come in after the fifth day - they cleaned the shower and left some towels, did not make the bed or clean anything else. I’ve actually never been to a hotel that neglects the basics like this.
In a plus side, the receptionist and bar staff are very polite and well mannered.
I don’t expect anything but the bare minimum at a budget hotel but they don’t even provide this here. The breakfast is terrible - I’d rather pay a little extra and get something better.

The room had a window that could not open. And when we entered the room we were hit by a foul stench of dirty feet.. and the pillows smelled dirty too
