A Comfortable Budget Stay in Santa Cruz

We spent two nights in Galapagos Morning Glory in Santa Cruz. It was the first stop of our Galápagos trip.
The hostel provided everything we needed in a basic and affordable package. The room was clean, although lacked any luxury. We had a semi-comfortable bed, a private shower and private bathroom.
The lodge is very conveniently located right on one of the main streets of Santa Cruz, yet it's far enough from the street to prevent any noises at night. Many activities are just a walk away.
The staff was friendly and although we didn’t have much contact, they felt available in case we’d have any concerns or requests.
When you only spend a couple of nights in Santa Cruz, don’t expect to be in your hotel room a lot. That’s why this was perfectly good for what we were looking for. Though, people who are looking for more comfort or luxury would be slightly disappointed, I can imagine.
All in all, a hotel/hostel that stayed within our expectations for the type of accommodation and price we booked. Perfectly satisfied.

Value for money!

The owner Ruben is a very knowledgeable guy who provided information on the tours at Santa Cruz Islands. He is also very polite and friendly and meet our needs at the accomodation.
The accommodation is also very centralised and value for money as well. Worth staying at this place.

Enjoyed Our Stay

We stayed here twice, before and after going to Isabela Island. We enjoyed our stay in both of our rooms. The property is in a good location and close walking distance to attractions and restaurants. We didn't use the kitchen, but it would be great if you wanted to cook and eat in. The property was nice and had lots of pretty plants. There is filtered water on-site so we could refill our reuseable water bottles and not contribute to single-use plastic waste. I also appreciated that there was a spot to dipose of food scraps for composting. The staff were kind and friendly and assisted us with questions and booking a taxi. Would recommend!

Good bed, clean and quiet stay

We had a great stay at this nice hostal. We flew into Baltra and needed a place to stay for two nights before heading to Isabela. We chose this place because of the price and it looked nice for what we were paying. We are budget travelers and don’t need much more than a comfortable bed and a hot shower. This place fit the bill. It has a keypad entryway to a hallway and kind of an open patio area, so it felt very safe. It also was quite quiet when we were there in June. The room was very basic with a bed and a small nightstand and a very basic bathroom with toilet sink and shower. We didn’t need anything more than that. The outdoor common areas are very nice. There are many hammocks and other types of seating throughout. There is also an open kitchen and dining area. we were going to have breakfast there the next morning, but there was some confusion and our order never went through on the WhatsApp. You need to order in advance. However, I highly recommend breakfast, lunch or dinner at Nazca. It was one of our favorite restaurants in the area and it was recommended by the manager of this place.

The hostel is very well located, the staff are very friendly and helpful!

The hostel is very well located, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the cost for a double room is very affordable. We were very satisfied with our stay. However, it was already quite noisy early in the morning. You can hear all the guests in the common area and the rooster in the backyard.
