Simply the best!

One word, exceptional! Booked last minute, and couldn’t have found a better hotel in all of France! Service has been simply outstanding, the spa insanely good and the food has been out of this world!!!!!! Couldn’t have been looked after any better, especially when traveling with dog & child. Every hotel in France should take note of this level of hospitality.

Underwhelming

Not sure if we hit a bad patch but the hotel needed an experienced manager on duty during what was clearly a very busy period with staff running around like headless chickens trying to do several jobs at once
On arrival, we were told that - despite having booked dinner in the restaurant weeks before - the only option was a plate of cold meat and cheese in the garden which wasn't what we wanted after a long day travelling from the UK. As it had been implied there was an issue in the kitchen, we were surprised to see the restaurant was full.
The next day reception divulged that separate reservation programmes had been introduced for the hotel and restaurant and some bookings on the old system weren't transferred. To be fair, we weren't charged for the meal but it seemed rather odd.
When we had dinner on our second night, it was distinctly underwhelming. The restaurant was under-staffed and there was a 45 minute wait for our starter during which the increasingly harassed waiter brought amuse bouche to pass the time - never a good sign with a limited choice "menu fixe". When it eventually arrived, the crab starter bore no resemblance to the description on the menu and the main course was also disappointing. Requests for water, bread etc. never materialised and tables that arrived after us finished before we did.
By contrast, the spa was a well run, calm oasis with excellent treatments although the appointment system didn't seem to mirror the one in reception.
We enjoyed the spotless pool although day visitors to the spa shouldn't be allowed to leave their belongings on sun beds all day.
Our deluxe double room was OK but nothing special with no space for anything in the bathroom and a walk-in shower that flooded the floor.
We wouldn't rush to go back.

Happiness, sweetness, and pleasure

Pure happiness throughout this stay. First of all, an exceptional welcome; here, two key words: service and smile, which followed us throughout the 2 days. Here, the staff is present, efficient, and always pleasant. Bravo and thank you to everyone, and no doubt also to the management for this management that takes care of the customer. The room was magnificent, the facilities are superb, the pool of course, but what can be said about the magnificent SPA... But that would be nothing without professional staff. And there, what can I say... If not thank you to Pascaline and Elodie for their ultra-personalized and high-level services. The environment with the park and a superb building complete the general impression of spending exceptional moments. Only one idea: come back!
