Enjoyed the peace, walks and astronomical observations for the umpteenth time.

Returned again for the umpteenth time. Wonderfully relaxed and nice walk. Near several large cities and between very pleasant villages where something is planned very regularly. Far enough out on the countryside for silence, peace and quiet and dark enough for astronomical observations, so much so that there is an observatory next to it.

Very disappointed with the welcome

Clean room, good bedding, poorly soundproofed, general decor kitsch swimming pool dated television but which does not work. Be careful hotel hours after 10 a.m. you must have finished lunch or have vacated the room if you leave, the owner is not cool at all, except with her Dutch compatriots of course, madam people on vacation hope for more flexibility, especially for departure time! I wouldn't come back, that's for sure.

Dutch version of Faulty Towers ?

Beautiful location, large rooms but very weird decoration style, with multiple different types of wall paper and materials in same room - pity as with a bit of style great potential. Excellent breakfast - when it comes....average 25 min wait for husband to be sent out of kitchen by wife - who clearly must not be crossed.
Once in the room - thats it....dont expect anyone to make the beds etc, you are on your own.

Hospitality

Mart and Marlene thank you for the stay at La Salamandre. The clean and wide rooms, morning breakfasts( you can ask what you want for breakfast), the home made fresh dinners, the time they take to explain you about the neighbourhood, this made it for me to have a real holiday. Also the possibility to swim in the river Tarn at Rabastens, the visit to different wineries and markets in surrounding places, this is an added value to go to Salamandre.

Noël magique à la Salamandre

Nous avons séjourné en famille pour les fêtes à La Salamandre . Accueil très chaleureux de la part des propriétaires, très disponibles et arrangeants.! le gîte très propre et bien entretenu , plutôt bien équipé …literie de rêve !!!
L’environnent est très calme , vue splendide !!!
N’hésitez pas …. Allez y , vous passerez un excellent moment en famille ou entre amis
