Magical Farm!

I just completed a 9 day trip around the Ring Road and Finnsstadir was hands down my favorite place to stay. Helga is a wonderful host who even heated up the hot tub for us while we were on horseback! The farm is the coolest little place, tucked away on it's own private property and the guest house is more than spacious. Barbara was our tour guide for the horse back ride and gave us an unforgettable experience, offering to take pictures and explaining the various trots that Icelandic horses are able to do. I could not recommend staying here more to anyone else. It will truly make your whole trip!

So wonderful!

We arrived in town and asked the hotel where to go horseback riding, and they recommended Finnsstaðir. I am so glad that they did - it's a top-notch operation for novices like us, and we felt so comfortable on the horses. It was wonderful to not only ride they beautiful animals, but to also learn about the area. I even got to experience the Icelandic gait, the Tolt! Defintely check Finnsstaðir out!

Wonderful host

We stayed here with family and celebrated New Years Eve! Lovely and very helpful host. The place was huge and very comfy for family of 5. Had all the basic amenities. Has a huge hot tub which we enjoyed in the freezing cold weather. They also have a lovely cat which just hangs around near the house. They have a nice horse stable alongside of the house and offer a horse back ride in the summer. The view in the winter was very scenic. Overall had a good time here!
