Once I'd found the entrance behind the gate, everything fell into place, and the hostess was so helpful and friendly throughout - there is car parking inside the gate, and the room itself was a good size, with effective aircon and a fridge - there were though a few mosquitoes about, so bring repellant in the warmer months. The bathroom for the room (just one step across the hallway) was compact, but the shower effective and it was all well lit. A short ten minute walk gets you to the beachfront at Mondello, so location wise this is perfect, and knowing the car was safely parked was a bonus. The real highlight though was the chatty (my Italian improved enormously in 24 hours!) hostess, and the breakfast that she prepared in the communal dining area was amazing - eggs, ham sandwich, croissants, yoghurt, fresh coffee...I would have happily stayed longer just for the breakfast alone.

Sea in May in Mondello

B & B ten minutes walk from the center of Mondello and the beach. Ms. Concetta is very kind and offers you an amazing breakfast both sweet and savory, excellent and plentiful. The rooms are very nice, tastefully decorated and clean. In the structure there are two rooms that have a private bathroom but in the corridor, just opposite the room. All the others have a bathroom inside the stanza.Si sleep well in silence and there is a nice terrace available to guests, with tables and chairs, so you can also take advantage of these spaces to relax or have a snack. Having not taken rental cars, we used their transportation to and from the airport. You are also convenient to the 806 bus stop that takes you to the center of Palermo in about 20 minutes. Also if you are a couple you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas at their private bathroom. The b&b is on the second floor and can be reached via an external staircase. In short, we had a great time. maybe I would recommend to leave available to customers a map and some written indications on the places of interest that are nearby and the means by which to reach them. A bit of neglect there is in the courtyard and parking area which I think is common with other facilities. Overall a good experience.

A wonderful holiday

I just spent with two of my friends a wonderful holiday in Mondello, staying at B&B il Girasole, just ten minutes walk from the beach and Piazza Mondello. The warm welcome and the availability of Mrs. Concetta and her daughter really made us feel at home! The room and bathroom were very spacious, spotless and bright. Outside the room, there was also a lovely private terrace, where it was pleasant to sit once back from the beach. The breakfast was very rich and offered every morning croissants, pastries and fresh fruit. We had a great time, definitely will be back!

Pampering and sea

We booked to stay only one night and instead we added another. Great location near the sea, but also convenient to the center. Clean and comfortable rooms equipped with everything you need. The hostess, Mrs. Concetta, was very friendly and pampered us with her abundant breakfasts and attention to every detail. Highly recommended
