Great location but the team sets the place apart!

The best locations in the world tend to share certain similarities; proximity to amenities and a vibrant neighborhood, ease of access to transportation nodes and so on. But the thing that really set Upper House Shanghai apart was the feeling of privacy it was able to provide in spite of being situated in the heart of all the activity from the neighboring malls and streets. The team's dedication to providing a bespoke experience really ties everything together - the stay never felt rushed but everything was seamlessly efficient. Just an overall really cool place and I can't imagine picking another location when I'm in Shanghai. My compliments especially to Katy, Iris and Emma, who had put up with my many questions and requests prior to the stay. Thank you!

Great Guest care

Our stay at Upper House Hotel was exceptional, and a big part of that was thanks to Nick, the Senior Guest Relations Manager.
Nick was incredibly attentive. He recommended an excellent French restaurant and kindly helped us secure a reservation, making our dining experience truly memorable.
During our short stay, three cartons of fresh peaches were delivered to the hotel while we were out , I sent Nick a message, and he immediately arranged for them to be stored in an air-conditioned environment to keep them fresh. His prompt response and attention to detail were greatly appreciated.
What impressed us even more was that after we had checked out, Nick took the time to send us a message wishing us a pleasant trip, even though he was not on duty. That thoughtful gesture reflected his genuine commitment to guest care.
The hotel's location is perfect, making it easy to explore Shanghai. The overall service throughout our stay was excellent, and the breakfast was great with a wide variety of delicious options and outstanding quality.
Thank you, Nick, and the entire team, for making our stay so enjoyable. We will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shanghai.

A wonderful location and property in all respects

We landed in Shanghai, our first stop on a three-week trip to China. The hotel offered us a lovely respite after a long journey. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and wonderfully appointed. The staff was helpful and so accommodating. Finally, we loved the location and the surroundings. This is a hotel not to miss!

Exceptional home away from home

We travel to Shanghai a lot for business and Upper House is always our preferred choice of hotel in Shanghai. It's rare to find a hotel with the perfect blend of taste, style and service and Upper House delivers on all three fronts. Critically we are always made to feel as if we are arriving home which is really valuable when you travel as much as we do. Special shout out to Lewis from the Guest Experience Team who has always gone out of his way to make each stay a memorable one. Couldn't recommend Upper House more highly.
