Everything was fine regarding the location and staff.

Great location near Heroes' Square, the Museum of Fine Arts (I recommend the Széchenyi Baths), the zoo, the beautiful Széchenyi Baths, and Margaret Island. Connected to the center by bus 72, which stops right outside the hotel, and other lines on the adjacent street. The staff is very kind. Mr. Attila at the reception speaks excellent Italian and is very kind! At the reception, all the staff were friendly, and even though they did not speak Italian, we were able to converse with the translator! The breakfast was good; there were both sweet and savory options! Daniel, the breakfast guy, was very nice; he helped us connect our phone to the Wi-Fi and speaks Italian quite well. The rooms are clean, although we noticed that in 5 days they did not vacuum.... fortunately, there is no carpet! Towels were changed continuously. We arrived at the hotel in the morning knowing that the room would not be available before 3 PM, but we left our luggage in storage and started visiting. The same thing at departure; with our flight at 10 PM, we left our bags in storage. I recommend it!

Great staff minimum furniture in room

Front desk staff were extremely helpful and attentive—really appreciated their support, especially when we arrived and had nowhere to place our luggage. The room was surprisingly lacking basic furniture (no table or proper space for suitcases), which made things inconvenient. We also had a sink plug issue that took time to resolve, and housekeeping could have been more thorough.
Location is convenient, with public transportation close to Heroes’ Square—worth considering a 72-hour or 7-day transit pass to get around easily.
Unfortunately, the €13 breakfast wasn’t worth it—pastries were stale and you have to make your own coffee. You’re better off walking down the street for a fresh pastry and a proper coffee.
I also sent a detailed message to the hotel about these concerns and, after seven days, have yet to receive a response.

HOTELS IN BUDAPEST

Standard Ibis hotel, but well above average. Well located, helpful staff. A pity not to have a bar and fast snack service. I recommend.

Does not keep promises

I am an Accor Platinum member and previously had to cancel my booking due to the pandemic and was promised by their GM that when I come back I would still get amenities regardless of my status but their new GM is now refusing to honor the original promise

Worst hotel I ever stayed

Stayed here as part of a tour group and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.
The biggest issue was the room ventilation. My room had no functioning air conditioning, and it became extremely hot and stuffy, making it very uncomfortable to stay in, especially at night. When I raised this with hotel staff, I was simply told to open the window.
However, my room faced a very noisy street, and opening the window made it impossible to sleep due to constant traffic noise. Closing the window made the room feel suffocatingly stuffy, so there was really no workable solution.
Because I was staying through a tour package, changing rooms was not an easy option.
The location is convenient, but a hotel should provide a room that is comfortable enough for guests to rest properly. Unfortunately, the lack of proper air conditioning and the unhelpful response from staff made this one of the worst hotel stays I’ve experienced.
I would strongly recommend future guests, especially during warmer months, to confirm that their room has properly functioning air conditioning before booking.

Very good location
