A paradise on earth
The arrival was very well organized, and at the terminal of the seaplane or on the island where you arrive, you are immediately recognized and taken aside. That the seaplanes do not arrive directly at Kandolhu is a blessing! This noise and smell can happily stay on the neighboring island. The 10-minute boat ride is very much appreciated in exchange for that.
The beach villa with a pool was perfect for us. The location is simply great on this side. It is neither far to the jetties or restaurants, nor do you have to start directly from the villa or finish the snorkeling trip right in front of it. The visibility can, of course, always be significantly impaired depending on the tide and weather. But if it is murky at the jetty, it can be super clear again near the restaurant. Just go for it; there is always something to see. Whether it's turtles, octopuses, or various sharks, it is a dream to snorkel through this beautiful reef where the corals, also thanks to the absence of seaplanes, are still intact and incredibly beautiful.
The villa is cleaned very thoroughly twice a day, and in the evening, there is always a little treat on the table.
We chose the all-inclusive package, which was totally worth it for us. At every meal, you can choose dishes from all the menus of the various restaurants. For breakfast, there is also a small buffet with bread and croissants, ham, salami, cheese, salad, and fruit. The quality of the dishes is excellent!
Roman, the Food and Beverage Manager, is indescribable. He simply takes care of all wishes. He is so rich in experience that every conversation with him becomes an experience. The team around him is so friendly and attentive that you are well taken care of at all times. Elvi, Skye, Sharmin, and so many others always greet you by name and are the reason you feel like you are in paradise. At the bar, Harsha always has the right feel for the perfect cocktail. Everything we tried was always a delight. He repurposed the orange peels that are usually left over from breakfast to create an orangello. I loved it when he crafted cocktails with and without alcohol.
Upon arrival, we were picked up on the neighboring island by Mafaax, who took care of us throughout the entire vacation. We set up a WhatsApp group, so he was always reachable for us. He always fulfilled a few small luxury requests of ours right away.
It was very hard for us to say "goodbye" to Kandolhu at the end of the vacation, even though there will surely be a reunion. Luciana and Claudio, the management, have shown great sensitivity in selecting the right staff members. As a guest, everyone is allowed to be themselves without a special dress code, and from the very first moment, one does not feel like just a number but is welcomed as part of the Kandolhu family for the duration of the vacation.
The whole island embraces you. We had never experienced anything like this before. Thank you very much for an unforgettable time!

The Best Maldives Resort!
This petite 5* resort in the Maldives, home to one of the most beautiful house reefs in the country, can be found in the North Ari Atoll a short seaplane ride from the capital Male. We chose this resort based on the size, 30 villas, its reviews and its mention in the Honeymoon vlog of our homegrown Scottish makeup mogul Jamie Genevieve, to whom ultimately, we must thank for finding the place. Peace and relaxation were at the top of our list, and this resort undoubtedly provides just that. From the luxury interiors of the villas to the splendid selection of restaurants, this small isle does not skimp in big offerings. You’ll be invited to Maldivian themed dinner feasts in Seagrill, enjoy refreshing cocktails from the bar or be entertained by the resorts teppanyaki chef at Banzai. You will end your stay feeling extremely well rested and fed wishing you had more time to try it all! If you’re an ocean lover, the vibrant house reef is alive with so much to see as well as a range of excursions on offer at the Noovilu Sports Centre, if you’re a foodie you can be transported from Italy in Olive or to Mexico in Ata Roa for delicious fresh ceviche. The Market restaurant also offers a delightful menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner with views across the white sands to the ocean. If you prefer relaxation and lazy days, the Spa and its facilities offer peace and tranquillity in beautiful, lush surroundings. Kandolhu really has it all.
Above all this, the most important factor that makes this resort outstanding, is the incredible community of staff and managers. From the resort managers Claudio and Luciana’s warm welcome as you step off the arrival boat, to Chef Ragu and Chef Justin for providing some of the best food we have ever tasted as well as accommodating so well, my partners vegetarian diet. To Elvie, Nasru and Harsha whom head up the hardworking waiting staff team in the restaurants and bar (Skye, Nhana, Maan, Shariff, Shamin, Shifuh, Aafaaq, Sylvie, Angel, and many others whose outstanding service is noticed and truly appreciated), to the lovely Spa ladies, Jenny, Tshering, Telma and Reni for providing heavenly massages, so good I almost fell asleep, to Hannu for keeping our villa meticulously clean every day, to the nimble ‘Coconut Man’ (unfortunately we didn’t get his name) who made climbing coconut palms look incredibly easy, to all the staff who maintain the island landscape and whom sweep endlessly the paths every day to allow us to walk barefoot around the island. To the lovely young lady at Ata Roa from Java, Indonesia who made the most delicious fresh churros I’ve ever tasted. And lastly but by no means least a very special mention and thanks to Shad at the Noovilu Sports Centre on the island, whose endless knowledge of the reefs and the area allows you to experience the ocean in ways you can’t imagine. To Shad, Ibby, Navide, the boat drivers and all other staff mentioned above and to those behind closed doors that dedicate their time and hard work to providing us with the best holiday, we thank you. We miss you. We will be back soon to our second home, Kandolhu.

Paradise
What can I say! I feel like I’ve been in a Paradise dream for 10 days! From start to finish it has been the most memorable holiday in years! Every staff member Naveen, Aditya, Silvia, Nassrull, Elvira, Naish, Ifam, Sky, Romel, Telma, Reni, Jenny and not forgetting Nana have made the trip just outstanding! They are all kind, nothing is an issue, the service is the best!!!!!!!
Food is amazing! So relaxing, cocktails are 10/10! Spa treatments are a must! Full all inclusive package is the best I have ever experienced! Villas are wonderful, water villas the view is just wow! Duplex villas are just as wonderful! Gym is great!
The Management Team have created something wonderful here & I just can’t wait to go back! Everyone must go to this island ️

Dream vacation.
Our stay at Kandolhu was extraordinary from the first to the last minute and exceeded our expectations in every way.
Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and felt immediately at home. We were particularly impressed by the personal care: The island was shown to us during a personalized tour, and a staff member at the reception was available to us as a personal contact throughout our stay. He was easily reachable via WhatsApp at any time and took care of all concerns with great warmth and professionalism.
On Kandolhu, there are no stiff formalities – instead, one experiences genuine hospitality. The entire team was exceptionally friendly and attentive. We particularly appreciated that we were greeted by our names everywhere, which further emphasized the family-like and personal atmosphere.
Our Beach Villa was beautiful and perfectly maintained. Another great service was that we were allowed to use the villa until 3 PM on the day of departure, which made the journey home significantly more relaxed.
The island itself is a true paradise for those seeking tranquility. The relaxed atmosphere, the small size of the island, and the predominantly German-speaking guests create a pleasant and calm ambiance. For those seeking relaxation, this is the perfect place.
Culinarily, we were also pampered at the highest level. The dine-around concept is excellent and offers an impressive variety. The diverse themed evenings were particularly a highlight – each dinner was a delight.
An absolute gem is the beautiful, intact house reef. The underwater world is fascinating and offers ideal conditions for snorkeling. Directly from the island, numerous fish and corals can be discovered in their natural beauty.
