Strategic Location for Business, Though In-Room Service Varies

I stayed at Homeland Hotel for a five-night business trip. The location is excellent—situated in a quiet neighbourhood within walking distance of the city centre and nearby offices.
As someone unaccustomed to Niamey’s heat, I appreciated having both an AC and a ceiling fan in the room. The amenities were a mixed bag: I had a fridge and received a fresh bottle of water daily, which was great. However, although there was an electric kettle, the replenishment of tea and the provision of clean cups were very inconsistent. The room itself felt dated, with a worn-out sofa and a window that faced a solid wall.
I was disappointed to find the swimming pool out of service during my stay. Breakfast is traditional French (bread and croissants), which may feel limited if you aren't used to that style. While the reception staff is helpful in English, communicating with the restaurant waiters was more challenging. Overall, a functional choice for the location, but expect some service lapses.

Good wifi and hot water, but too many bugs

A lot of things at this hotel work better than expected for the area, such as warm water, great wifi, and reliable electricity. There were quite a few bugs in the room, specifically roaches scurrying about during the entire stay. The hotel provides bug spray in each room so that indicates it's a known issue there.

Nice Labyrinth Place in Central Location

The hotel is not far from the airport and other government offices if that is your reason to visit Niamey, this allows to bypass traffic in the mornings and at the close of work. The breakfast baguette was really good and brewed coffee was the best I have had in two weeks of travels through multiple countries. The prices at the restaurant were reasonable, there are also other eating options walking distance from the hotel.

If you can avoid Homeland hôtel. The bathroom, toilets were terrible in the room. And the bin had not been emptied. The only positive: internet and the breakfast coffee. I only stayed one night but will not stay there ever again. Assia
