Quaint and perfect

We actually lived in this picturesque town for a couple of years and would meander down the cobblestone streets to this restaurant often, but we actually stayed here for about a week prior to moving back to the states. Thomas, the owner, was a joy and always encouraged us to try out our German. Our week there was wonderful. This little hotel and restaurant was one of our favorite things about Konigstein. If you're looking for an authentic experience, fly into Nuremburg, drive to Konigstein, stay here! Walk down to the naturbad and drink a beer in the sunshine and watch the kids swim. I desperately hope we make it back some day. Truly the best little town and community.

Good place

One of the hotels in this small village 20km away from Nurenberg. Rooms are without balcony which is one of our request. Only few of them have balcony but then if stay for one night only, you will not get it. We have booked a room with balcony but when arrived at site we have been guided to one room without. Only when we remind them about our request they change us to the last floor room. This was quite large room more like an appartment; with resting space, desk for working and a small balcony with view on the back garden which was better because was more quiet than the trafic street roomthat we get at the begining.
However strange enough this room appartment has some roof windows being on the last floor and the window in the bathroom was out of use . It was broken and then instead to repair they blocked it which is not exactly good solution considering that you need some air flow in there. Would be good if they can repair it.
Restaurant offers good menu food acceptable and convinient. Breakfast was sufficient.

Really good place to stay

Situated in a little town with cobblestone streets, this hotel was great for my needs.

Loved this place!

My husband and I stayed here in October 2014. This was our first trip to Europe. Hotel Gasthof Reif was very comfortable! The food Excellant! Hospitality accommodating! Konigstein itself is a charming little town,exactly as I had imagined Bavaria to look like! Worth walking around.!There is a fabulous bakery a hop,skip and a jump from hotel. Close enough to train stations and continued on traveling around Europe via train. FYI for American travelers ,this is not an American luxury hotel, nor are the rooms large. It is a family bed and breakfast. The Internet is not reliable. It only mattered a tad to me because I was taking two online college courses. I made due. I would stay here again!

Nettes kleines Hotel

Nettes kleines Hotel, sehr freundliche Inhaber, Zimmer schön und sauber, liegt nur an der Hauptstraße und ist etwas laut. Kleine Speisekarte aber gutes Essen.Frühstück sehr gut und tolle Ausflugsmöglichkeiten.
