Beautiful hotel
AMAZING!
In a central location, this hotel carved into the rock was truly a surprise! Extremely kind staff, super accommodating even in changing our dates. Pool with a panoramic view and an attached bar. Hearty breakfast. Truly beautiful rooms, carved into the rock, with a "cave" shower.
The hotel does not have a restaurant, but there is an abundance of choices nearby.
I would like to point out that in case of mobility difficulties or wheelchairs, it is better to contact the hotel directly and request a ground floor room, as all other rooms on the upper floors are accessible only via external stairs.
Numerous cats (as in the whole country) roam freely; some, now accustomed to tourists, can be a bit intrusive. Although I love cats and have two at home, I was bothered to find them on the breakfast table for hygienic reasons, so perhaps more attention should be given to their management, indicating that they can access the dining area.

Stay away from this hotel!
I would definitely not recommend this accommodation.
First of all, there was an awful lot of moisture in our room. In the shower we never washed, because it looked black with mold and smelled terrible of moisture. There was one window in the room, so the room was not healthy to sleep in.
The jacuzzi did not work half the time, so we had to constantly knock on the reception asking to check. Also the internet and the smart TV did not work top.
The hotel has a good breakfast, and the staff is very friendly. We don't understand this. We had breakfast in the hotel for 2 days, for the rest of our stay we went to another hotel or accommodation because the breakfast offered in the hotel was terrible. The tables were also not cleared in time for new people.
The room was never cleaned properly. The floor was dirty every time, despite it being cleaned, so to speak. The carpet on the ground is in urgent need of replacement and was degoutantly dirty.
The last days of our stay we have identified bedbugs in our room. Our body was full of bites. We immediately went to check reactions on booking and saw that a few months before our stay there in the same room (Executive Suite
) bedbugs have already been identified. These reactions also showed that the hotel staff did not take this seriously. We were assigned a new room, but it also had several defects (such as moisture) and we doubted whether it also contained bedbugs. Our bodies were full of bites and we did not have the impression that the receptionist considered this problem to be very serious.
I would never recommend going to this hotel. At the entrance of the hotel it is always full of dog poop, so you have to watch where you are walking. Defects are not addressed or solved (especially not structurally). In the last room we were assigned, the tiles of the bath were taped.

Not recommended
Location great. That’s about it. We were still a little off-season in March. Other reviews I can not understand, were we somewhere else????
Loveless. Open tiles, mold on the walls. The host doesn't give us a dime back. Please find something else.
It was unclean, sometimes even dangerous. Our bad reviews are reported everywhere by the host. Accordingly, I hope this one reaches you.

A must stay
Everything is incredible. It's very well located in centre Goreme, with lots of restaurants nearby. The hotel is very beautiful, it has an incredible view on top (go there in the morning to see the balloons) and the cave is simply amazing. Staff is also super nice.
