Excellent

Cenka Ephesus hotel, this very well located, has nearby the merkez (market) and local restaurants around really delicious and at very reasonable prices, plus the beds are very rich! The breakfast buffet is very good and Serhat is excellent, he helped us very kindly in everything, we had some problems and he was at all times helping us. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in! I assure you that if you choose this option you will have a really excellent stay!

Bed Bugs in Room 301

I stayed here for two nights with an Explore tour group. I was in room 301 and managed to capture about 10 bed bugs that I believe were in the quilt that was in the wardrobe. I showed the bugs to the reception desk but he had no response, let alone an apology, at being presented with the creatures. It appears that nothing has been done since the previous person complained about bed bugs.

On 3 October we having arrived at this hotel with a group. We were ushered to 2nd floor to find rooms weren’t ready. The hotel manager came up to the floor and ushered us into a yolk that had ostensibly been cleaned
Next morning I wake up with at least 70 bedbug bites that literally multiplied as they “ripened” and appeared slowly as bites do
3 weeks later I still have all of them though many have quietened down with regular application of cortisol cream. I am immune compromised and my mast cell activity has gone haywire after these bites.
Suffice to say this completely ruined the rest of my holiday in Turkey: furthermore when I arrived in UK to visit friends before travelling home to Canada I had to cancel these visits and book costly hotels because I didn’t want to take bedbugs into friend’s houses !!
I had to make two trips to medical clinics uh both UK and Canada and still I am suffering the aftermath of this revolting infestation
It’s damn Shame that the hotel did not clean rooms adequately. Not at alI certain they closed room down to others. I reported it to our tour guide who tackled the matter with hotel and asked us to write to the tour company we were travelling with.no zoology was received either. This complaint is unresolved and ongoing
