Great comfy, friendly hotel

Just had 4 nights here whilst visiting family.
Very clean, comfortable hotel with large airy bedrooms. Breakfast was offered on check in, at a reduced price, great selection and plentiful
the “Stoater” was just what we needed to set us up for the day.
Choice of evening meals also offered a great selection, our favourites being, Pork tenderloin in a mushroom sauce, smoked haddock and salmon pasta in a white wine sauce ( delicious) and chicken and chorizo in a spicy sauce with linguini, portions were generous and reasonably priced.
The staff at this hotel are so friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble, all so smiley and happy
Will definitely use this hotel again

Great hotel for families but not the best bed

A bit of a timewarp, but in a good way in lots of respects. Friendly, helpful staff, a great breakfast and clean rooms. The family rooms, in particular, are excellent, with two adjoining rooms (one double/twin, one bunk beds) each with their own bathroom with full bath. The hotel is more of a motel, with rooms all on one level and then a restaurant, bar and function room attached. The only downside, and it affected my wife more than me, is that the bed wasn't very comfortable with a hard mattress you could feel the springs through. Change the mattress and I'd be back in a flash.

Nice place nice staff all good

Last minute booking due to a family bereavement .
The commonwealth games were on so accommodation was a nightmare to find .
Anyway got booked in here where they made provision for the 5 of us no bother .
All the staff were amazing very very helpful and friendly.
Ok the decor could do with updating and I have an aversion to showers over the bath apart
from that cannot fault it

Great place to stay

Had a really good 3 nights here. Short walk to Dumbarton East station to get to Glasgow. Plenty of parking. Rooms fine. Pre booked breakfast really good value. Staff very friendly

Top marks

Visited here as a party of 4 for a family meal. We booked a table were shown to a table straight away and drinks taken. We all took a starter and mains and 2 took dessert while the other had coffee. The breaded scampi was delicious as was the potato skins and Belgian waffle. All courses looked tasy and clean plates. We were never waiting long fir any food. The steadf were very efficient and professional. The prices were reasonable. Been here a few times and dont recall ever having a bad meal. Would recommend this place for a meal or even lunch
