I had a really great stay at YHA Albert Dock. It is in a fabulous central location, the staff were fantastic, so friendly and helpful. The rooms and facilities are very clean and tidy and there is a lot of choice when it comes to food and drink options.

Four day city trip
This is an excellent well run hostel. Mike and his colleagues were very pleasant and helpful during our stay. The hostel is in a great location so most of the best of Liverpool is within walking distance. We had breakfast and some evening meals at the hostel and they were very good, good value and well presented with good service from the staff. There's a very good pub next door and several good restaurants nearby. There were groups of schoolchildren in the hostel during our stay but it wasn't detrimental. We had a great stay.

Quirky Beatles-themed hostel with friendly staff and a stones-throw from Liverpool Docks!
Enjoyed my stay at Liverpool YHA Albert Dock. Chris on the reception was very friendly and hostel is conveniently located walking distance near the docks and coach station. No problem checking in with ID and an varied crowd of guests from families, couples, youth groups, sports teams and solo travellers of all ages staying from around the world. Clean, large single sex dorms with charming Beatles decor and quirky vibe. Check in is 3pm and they close main entrance gate at 10pm so have to use intercom for 24 hour reception. The hostel has a dining area , board games, pool table bar and TV screens in 2 lounge rooms (I was staying during the England vs Norway ⚽️ match so was served pizza and the match shown to guests). Have to bring your own towels and can choose own bed in dorm with lockers and power points. Thank you YHA Albert Docks will stay again if I come back to Liverpool!

Burger Deal Delight
Visited this YHA frequently for breakfast earlier in 2026 while working in Liverpool but never stopped by of an evening for a meal. Happy to report that I have now and throughly enjoyed my meal. All the staff I met were welcoming & friendly making the experience all the better, I will certainly be returning

Don’t overlook this place!
After staying in a YHA in Edinburgh and having a great experience, I thought I’d give this one a try.
It’s 3 mins walk from the royal Albert dock. Such a bargain compared to budget hotels in the area.
It was spotless, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Chris was excellent! Thank you.
The front rooms are on a busy road (ear plugs advised) and if it’s hot, like it was during our stay, it gets very hot on the top floor. But those are the only down sides.
Support YHA and allow it to continue to provide a really great product for a very reasonable price and give this one a try!
