Okay, it's worth experiencing.

When I first came to Bangtaou, The Cap Hotel looked pretty good and decided to stay for two nights. Honestly, the service was pretty good, the buffet was comfortable, and the hotel was spacious and cozy. There were lots of trees, and the reception staff was passionate, especially the bellmen were really passionate and helped a lot. Because it's not everywhere. If you get a chance to go to Bangtou, you'll choose The Cap Hotel as your first resort for your next trip. Really great.

Not a good experience for the price.

This is not a 4-star hotel. We booked a villa that was around $450 USD and was expecting a 4-star service but it was quite the opposite experience.
The downstairs patio attached to the first room was not locked. Meaning people can enter the room from the outside. What was worse was it took them nearly two hours to get someone to fix it. It was only until my Uncle and Aunt made a ruckus until they came AGAIN and bought a bunch of keys to figure out which one locks it. We flagged down a worker that walked back and fourth "looking" for a villa, she says "is that right" when we told her is this one and then she walks away.. strange.
Next the windows were not cleaned. They are dirt stained and dirty. A few dusty areas as well.
The doors are not airtight and were wobbling all night due to the wind. The pictures don't show it but it's located next to a busy street as well and not hidden, walking traffic is high so you will see people walk around the villa through large windows.
What was strange was there is a basement that the elevator goes too. The door that goes down to it is not locked as well.
Just a odd and not great experience overall.

Clean room, breakfast is just ok. Amenities are not well maintained (in-room air conditioner keeps shutting down, many equipment in the gym are not working).

Staff were awesome, room was a good size, only complaint is that I had an upgrade on arrive, to a room where the bathroom door wouldn’t close and the view was awful over looking a derelict waste area between the building across from the hotel and our location - I wouldn’t have wanted to see the real state of the room I originally booked

The hotels in Ving Tau are really affordable and one can not be too picky. In any case book yourself a sea view as otherwise the brown , outdated furniture could be a bit depressing. The at the hotel looks a bit doggy. Also the pool at the photos looks much nicer. In Vietnam they tend to filter photos a lot :)
