An amazing dinner at hotel Viktoria

My cousin and I had the best dinner we ever had in our lives here. Many people over exaggerate and it may seem cliché because many people say that but with us, it really really was the best meal we ever had in our lives. This chef has 40+ years of experience and it's telling. If he's not a Michelin star HE SHOULD BE. I suppose every traveller at some stage bumps in to a world class chef but for us, this was our first time to experience 5 star food, and we've travelled a lot. We both had chicken and I had a sauce on mine. The extras were a meal in itself! Burek with egg and spinach and THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FRESH CHIPS. Extras also included beautiful fried bread and peppers. And also a raki, Turkish delight and two raki brandies each and a homemade special desert after. Needless to say, I've never felt so contented and full in my life. The presentation was also an art form
It's a beautiful family ran restaurant and the service was also top class. We were greeted like long lost friends at the door and felt part of the family. The warmth and love we received was also incredible.
Anyone remotely close to Gjirokastër should make a special trip here JUST for this restaurant.

Kindness and simplicity

We slept and dined during our trip to Albania. The hotel is just a few minutes drive from Argirocastro. It is a simple, quiet and managed by the kind and helpful chef. Very competitive price for both sleeping and dining, great dinner and Albanian breakfast.

I wish there was 6 stars

We were driving by and stopped for lunch, and were greeted by the sweetest owner, Fotaq.
The sourrondings and the view were so beautiful.
The owner and his wife, Claudiana, offered to make a plate with different Albanian foods + appetizers.
Everything tasted so amazing!
After lunch, they were very helpful with questions regarding our trip.
DON’T MISS OUT ON THIS PEARL!!
