Beautiful hotel but some areas need improvement
We had a sea-view room, and the view was absolutely stunning. The room itself was spacious, very modern, stylish and beautifully designed. We particularly loved the automatic curtains, and the little details such as the slippers and dressing gown were a lovely touch. The bed was extremely comfortable, and overall the room was beautiful and felt very luxurious.
Staff: The staff were not unpleasant, but they were not particularly warm or smiley either. We often felt that the service lacked a little friendliness and warmth.
On our first evening, we asked at reception for directions to a restaurant we had found on Google, which had excellent reviews and where we wanted to have our first dinner. The receptionist immediately said that he did not know the restaurant and instead pointed out that the hotel had its own restaurant.When we checked the map ourselves, we realised that the restaurant we were looking for was literally just to the left of the hotel, making it difficult to believe that the staff were genuinely unaware of it. We were left with the impression that they were trying to steer us towards the hotel’s own restaurant, which is considerably more expensive.
Beach service: This was probably the most disappointing aspect of our stay. We got the impression that there was different treatment between Albanian guests and international tourists. We only realised towards the end of our stay that bottles of water were being provided to other guests, whereas we were only offered two bottles on one occasion. Perhaps this was a misunderstanding, but it unfortunately left us with that impression.
The Asian gentleman working at the beach was absolutely lovely, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we did not experience the same level of friendliness from the other gentleman, who appeared to be the beach manager.
That is a shame, because the beach itself is beautiful. The sunbeds are well spaced out, which gives you a lovely feeling of privacy and makes the beach experience very pleasant.
Restaurant: We did not eat at the hotel restaurant after looking at the menu, as we found the prices extremely high. For example, a fish costing around €60 seemed excessive. You are clearly paying a premium for the setting and the fancy atmosphere.
Breakfast: Breakfast was average. There is a good selection of food, but for a five-star hotel, we expected more. For example, there was no real option to have fresh dishes prepared on the spot, which we would normally expect from a hotel of this standard.
The breakfast staff were polite, but again, not particularly warm. If you don’t say hello first, they generally don’t greet you and simply look at you, which gives the service a somewhat cold feeling.
Overall, the hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are excellent and the beach is lovely. However, the service does not quite match the five-star standard you would expect, particularly when it comes to warmth, attention and consistency.

Amazing experience
We really enjoyed our time at Prado, it’s one of the best and most luxuriest hotels in the south of Albania .The room was clean and spacious. The staff was very welcoming and nice. We also ate at the restaurants and they were amazing. It was quiet and very chill.

Stay away, no luxury service at all
ZERO STARS. Absolute scam, zero empathy, and the worst customer service in Albania.
Stay away from Prado Luxury Hotel! This is a completely unprofessional, fishy operation that has no business being in hospitality.
Beware: they charge the full amount upfront at the time of reservation with a completely predatory "no refund" policy for emergency cancellations. According to their rules, you apparently need to predict a medical emergency 2 weeks in advance. We had a severe, unexpected health emergency in the family that forced us to cancel our entire overseas trip to Albania. Every single hotel that we had reservations at along the Albanian coast showed compassion and refunded us —except Prado Luxury Hotel.
When you give them an inch, they take a mile. There is no customer service here—just an unprofessional, unhelpful place that doesn't care about guests. The lady on the phone doesn't know anything about the process; she needs to talk to the finance department (I bet they don't have one). When we asked to speak with someone in the finance department, they couldn't put us through to anyone; then they just texted us on WhatsApp to let us know about the no-refund policy for emergencies. Albania. Calling themselves a "luxury" place is an absolute joke; it operates more like a circus. Luxury customer service replaced by an unprofessional WhatsApp text. I believe "luxury" means operating in a new construction building for this business. They do not even have an existing customer service or email system for confirmations, bookings, etc.
Save your money, your sanity, and your time. Book somewhere else that actually respects, values, and cares for its customers- a real hospitality place.
