Perfect place
Cozy, quiet by the pool you always get a seat. Great breakfast, nice staff, nice clean room every day. Very nice and clean pool and close to the sea. The restaurant at the hotel also super great for lunch and dinner and drinks!

location just outside town centre, about 10 minutes walking. Best feature with the hotel is the pool,and beach area. Time is starting to show its wear and tear on the hotel itself. worst part was my bathroom, A glass cabinet inside my room itself. Even beeing solo I felt I didnt get any privacy. shower was leaking a ton whilst taking a shower, så the entire floor was flooded.
Could not pay with card at the pool area, and I found the meny to be really small.
Breakfast was small but enough. never saw things run out, even I only saw 1 woman working there. Some noise from smaller jobs beeing done during the day. but nothing to annoying.
I got a good deal while booking. otherwice I would go for something else next time.

The best week at Saranda Palace Albania
We had the most wonderful experience at hotel Saranda Palace. The hotel has a high standard of service and cleaning and the rooms are in the top. We travelled with Apollo
The fact that the hotel is located by the sea and at the same time 2 pools makes it likeable for families.
Bar/restaurant are so service-minded and friendly and their attention to children is so fantastic.

Poor beach set up, unpleasant front desk and terrible breakfast
The three biggest disappointments during the stay were:
1. Certain front desk interactions came across as dismissive and patronising, with occasional microaggressive behaviour toward guests.
2. The beach and outdoor facilities were clearly not prepared for the start of the season which made the pool crowd a little cramped.
3. The uncomfortable bed setup with the edges dropping down, the early morning noise and extremely poor breakfast quality significantly impacted the overall experience.
Located a short drive from the port of Sarandë — or around a 10-minute walk — Saranda Palace is tucked down a side road off a one-way system. The approach to the entrance involves a fairly steep descent. Parking is situated further uphill in a partially completed multi-storey car park, complete with exposed wires and unfinished columns, which does not create the best first impression. There is also some limited covered parking available.
On arrival, there is a small concierge area, check in for was quick.
Room
We stayed in Room 409 on the 5th floor. The room has wooden flooring and a simple, fairly basic design with white walls. As you enter, the bathroom is immediately on the right — compact and quite dark, finished with grey tiling. It includes a walk-in shower with both overhead rainfall and handheld shower options, plus a large illuminated mirror and a wall-mounted hairdryer.
One issue was the bathroom extractor fan, which was extremely loud and disruptive, particularly if switched on while someone else was sleeping. The toilet roll holder was also positioned far too close to the toilet, making it awkward to sit comfortably.
Outside noise was another downside. Construction work nearby began around 8:30am each morning, including loud tile-cutting noises, especially noticeable with the windows open.
The room itself included a full-length mirror and a bed decorated with towel art and a blue “Saranda Palace” throw. There were extra pillows stored in the cabinet. Unfortunately, the bed was very firm and uncomfortable, lacking any contour or support. There was also no duvet fitted on the bed upon arrival — we had to locate it ourselves in the wardrobe, and it did not have a proper cover on it.
Storage was acceptable, with a reasonably large wardrobe, although only around ten hangers were provided. The safe was unusable as it required a separate lock. There was also an empty fridge and some useful luggage storage space beneath the desk area with a small orange stool.
The balcony contained two chairs with metal frames overlooking the back of the hotel, neighbouring apartment blocks, and the unfinished car park. There was only a partial sea view visible between the buildings.
The air conditioning worked very effectively — almost too effectively — becoming extremely cold after only a couple of hours.
Pool & Facilities
The pool area is reasonably pleasant, with a slightly larger surrounding terrace area.
The sun loungers around the beach/ sea were not properly made up for the guest, some parasols not secured and many were unusable during our stay in early May. The concierge acknowledged this and suggested they were still preparing for the season.
Unfortunately, the hotel beach area was not operational and looked somewhat derelict.

Breakfast was by far the weakest part of the stay.Most pastries were soggy and unappetising, and the croissants had an odd orange flavour that tasted unpleasant. The “French toast” was cold, and even supposedly hot items like sausages and eggs were only lukewarm.
The coffee was poor quality, there was no cut fruit available apart from whole apples, and the selection overall was limited to a few processed meats and pastries.
Tables were not set; guests had to collect their own cutlery and prepare the table themselves. Condiments were sparse, and by the time you arrived at breakfast many items had already gone soft or stale.

Beautiful hotel with a beach.
Recommended hotel, beautiful rooms, and very friendly staff. Very clean; it was always being cleaned.
The hotel has its own beach with free loungers and umbrellas. The sea was very clean.
Our bathroom was inadequate as there were no shelves. The shower basin was leaking, so it was very wet after showering (Room 303).
Breakfast was fine for us.
The location is very good. Restaurants are right nearby with fantastic food.
An interesting harbor is reachable in about 15 to 20 minutes.
You can easily reach Ksamil and Butrint by bus from Saranda.
The ferry to Corfu is interesting; we flew over Corfu.
The hotel has its own beach with free loungers and umbrellas. The sea was very clean.
