Good hospitality, would be perfect in summer

Me and my sister stayed with Artur and Elena in October. We were booked for 10 days, but went home after 7. This was not anything to do with Artur and Elena.
First things first, the helpfulness of Artur and Elena is absoultely amazing. They was nothing they could not do for us, from taking us shopping the first day for food, to finding English teabags for us and then taking us into Durres towards our last day so we could go shopping. Artur even walked us around the local area to show us where the (limited) restaurants were. Artur changed our euros into Albanian Leke and then back again on our last day when we had money left.
I could not fault the hospitality of Artur or Elena, and if it hadn't been for them, we would not have stayed as long as we did.
However this leads me to a few little niggles. October is not a good month to go to Albania. Artur and Elena are close to the beach, and the apartment would be amazing in the height of summer with everything open and all the restaurants down the beach, but in October there was barely anything open or anything anything do in the area. We spent most of our time in the apartment which led to us deciding to go home early as we could do that in England
The apartment is basic, no complaints, for €30 euro a night you get what you pay for. Air conditioning was good (but cold in October), beds were clean clean comfortable comfortable. We had everything we needed to cook and a mini fridge. The shower is strange (it's not contained just a square on the floor) and the bathroom often remained wet for hours but I think this is an abroad thing. We also learned the hard way not to flush toilet paper!
The WiFi is excellent and we relied on netflix for entertainment most evenings.
Artur and Elena had warned us before arrival that the restaurant on site would be closed due to us being the only ones staying. This was a shame as Elena kindly made us a bolognese one evening and it was amazing. In terms of staying again in the height of summer with everything open I think hotel Eleart would be a wonderful base for local amenities, but in October it is limited and there is not much to do.
Artur and Elena are lovely and welcoming, and nothing was too much. But beware of the mozzies and wasps, there was a stagnant moat around the accommodation and we recieved several bites during our stay.
We did feel very safe as two female travellers and again as I've said the hospitality of Artur and Elena was second to none, but choose carefully when to travel.

wonderful hospitality

I stayed with Artur and Elena at Eleart Hotel, Mali Robit, Golem, Albania for 10 days and they were every bit as hospitable as I had been previously told. Artur speaks good English and organised taxis and money exchanges. Elena's homemade food and the hotel's red wine were delicious. This was my first solo holiday and from a number of online recommendations I chose the Eleart hotel. I'm so glad I did. I felt very safe and knew the owners were looking out for me. The wifi and airconditioning in the hotel are excellent and the beds are very comfortable. it was all super clean. I stayed in a room which had an ensuite bathroom and a balcony but there are also apartments for larger groups. I joined a couple of Polish tour group day trips to Berat and Tirana. They have offices in Mali Robit with daily trips in Albania and beyond. The other days I spent on the beach and in the incredibly warm sea! The beach is a 10 minute stroll away from the hotel and has loungers to hire ( 500 lek). There are plenty of beach cafes and a market, although there is quite a bit of litter. In an evening there are beach side hotels which have live music and beautiful sunsets. Albania was a wonderful revelation, made all the more appealing for the the hospitality of Artur and Elena.

My wonderful Albanian experience

This is a hotel is run by a loving and wonderful couple, nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is spotless, there is a choice of rooms or apartments. I was worried as I had never visited Albania before and not travelled alone as a single traveller. Artur the hotel owner, speaks English and dealt with everything, arranging taxi to and from airport or even picking you up himself. Artur also offers money exchange from euro to Albanian Leke. I chose an apartment, which was big and airy. Everything was provided if I had wished to cook in apartment. 4 ring stove, one side electric the other gas. All cooking utensils, plenty of plates bowls etc. Fridge also provided. WiFi is one of the best I’ve had in an hotel, signal in rooms, public area and even in the garden area. Food was delicious and made fresh. You can order breakfast as a package with your booking or can pay daily. The mixed omelettes are delicious, Turkish style breakfasts, so fresh, there was never anything left on the plate , Artur normally asked if i would like an evening meal, this was so he could purchase the produce locally and fresh that day. I was intending going self catering but the food was so nice, I ate there. Again I couldn’t find fault in anything that I ate from carbonara to steak. Delicious and very, very reasonable. As the hotel is small, it gives a more friendly, homely feel it made it more easier to meet and chat to fellow guests, who have now became lifelong friends. We had a bbq evening, which was wonderful. The hotel is situated in a great location, not to close to the hustle n bustle of the main area and not to far from the beautiful white Sandy beaches. Everything is within a 5 minute walk. We are all planning on coming back for a reunion next year. Can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. Thank you again Elena and Artur for a wonderful experience.

Super miejsce za niewielką kasę!

Hotel położony blisko plaż,cichy czysty z domową atmosferą .Apartamenty z klimatyzacją ,kuchnią ,łazienką i balkonami.Darmowe Wi-Fi działające najlepiej na korytarzu.Czysta pościel i kolorowe pokoje.Gospodarze bardzo mili i sympatyczni zawsze chętni do pomocy.Sami prowadzą hotel i nawet gotują dla gości na ich życzenie.Świetne miejsce z pięknym ogrodem w którym jest mini plac zabaw dla dzieci i miejsca do wypoczynku.Blisko sklepy i restauracje.Mały zamykany parking na terenie obiektu.Dobre miejsce na wypady po Albanii i wypoczynek.Ciepłe morze i piaszczyste plaże.Polecamy gorąco i pozdrawiamy właścicieli Elenę i Artura.
