Superb location, fantastic accommodation and great service

Stayed for four nights in August 2026 as part of a trip around the Balkans. Wonderful welcome received from the reception staff after a long journey. A small touch that was very welcome. All staff who remained friendly and informative throughout our stay and would politely field any questions asked. Our room, on the 12th, and top, floor, was a large suite with excellent storage, a large bathroom, a fridge, lounge area, huge balcony with city views and excellent air conditioning. A kettle and complimentary tea and coffee were also included as was free Wi-Fi. The location is excellent, situated a couple of minutes’ walk from Skanderbeg Square and a few minutes from the new Bazaar. The surrounding neighbourhood is filled with varied restaurants, bars and shops. The breakfast buffet was absolutely superb – varied hot and cold selections, cereals, breads, a massive variety of fresh cakes, pastries and desserts, yoghurt and fruits - and enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere. We had an early start for a trip one day- anticipated 7.30am but changed to 6.00am the evening before. The hotel staff arranged generous breakfast packs for us at short notice, ready promptly at 6.00am. We were so grateful. I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending. A great value hotel in a wonderful location.

Excellent hotel in central location

I booked this hotel several months before our trip, but was a bit concerned about reviews before our arrival. However, I am pleased to say that this hotel did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly efficient and professional. We were pleased with our bright spacious very clean room with comfortable bed, and shower was high pressure. Room was cleaned to a high standard daily. Breakfast was varied and was topped up constantly by staff. Fresh coffee can be made by the friendly waiter if asked. We needed breakfast packs to takeaway a couple of mornings due to planned trips. This wasn't a problem. We stayed for a week, and were delighted and very happy both with hotel and it's central location.

Great hotel

Great hotel. Very central, close to sights. Nice breakfast, good wifi, shower. A somewhat warm room at most.

Terribly bad

Months ago booked a room at this hotel for a reasonable price. We also received immediate confirmation of this. Now all of a sudden the hotel says our credit card is not valid. The hotel uses this argument to get rid of our reservation. Probably the hotel is overbooked or the room can now get rid of it for a higher price. Too bad this.

Avoid this hotel at all costs.
I would never recommend Hotel Opera. The customer service is absolutely awful. The staff are rude, unprofessional, and completely unwilling to cooperate or help. They were also dishonest and misleading, which made the whole experience even more frustrating.
I honestly can't understand how a hotel in the center of Tirana can operate with such poor hospitality and such an incompetent team. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had, and I will never stay here again.
