First time at the Hotel Balcarce - City of Balcarce (Prov. of Buenos Aires)
The experience was relatively good. Central location.
Access to the rooms is by card, which also serves electricity.
It's a building that's got its years, but you can see it had quite a few renovations.
Excellent water pressure in the shower. Cleanliness is noticeable. Bed covers, although they seem to be of good quality, are already in their years.
Air conditioning is a problem. What happened to me is almost similar to what happened to user Silvia M. in Dec. 2025. At one point I began to feel cold, and realizing that the air conditioning seemed to be regulated from a concierge, I made the decision to tell whoever was there to turn it off. At no time could I find the number to call from the room, so I went downstairs.
At the time, the person in charge for the night was watching television in the dining room, which didn’t bother me, because it was in sight anyway. The first thing I did was ask him the concierge number (it's '100'), and then I asked him if he could turn down the air conditioning. He told me that for that you had to go to the floor where my room was (the 4th). I don’t think he was very funny, but he did, and he had to turn it off from a little box in the hallway. He explained that it doesn't turn off room by room, but floor by floor. That is, if most of the guests on that floor are hot, the minority "lost" (i.e., have to put up with it).
On the other hand, it must be said that, in general, the staff was very friendly and polite, and they assisted me on any issues where I had doubts. The breakfast was quite good and complete, in a large lounge with large tables for four people, and very comfortable chairs (I loved them). You can see there's hygiene.
Bed linen and towels, really impeccable. The placard would need a modernization. The mattress was excellent, although the pillows, in my opinion, lack "body", as they seemed a little thin.
Both TV and WiFi worked great, and I had no problems. It has a small safe (no notebook).
The con that I saw in this room is that in the afternoon it is sunny in full, and the blackout that it has is insufficient if someone wants to nap. Although I admit that the window is excellent, with a double opening window: horizontal and oblique.
He'll probably be back.

Important points why we would NOT return
1) the air conditioning is central by floor, it is decided according to the cold or heat of the guests of each room. I mean, if the next guy's hot, we all freeze. It is not regulated individually
2) impossible to sleep. The first night we heard very loud motorcycle noises, we dropped 00:30hs and the security person told us that every day about 20 motorcycles race on that block until about 6am. I asked him to call the police (which he did reluctantly), for a while the bustle stopped but the next two days we had the same problem. Sleepless until 5:40am that cut off the races.
3) we are a family of a marriage with 3 daughters, 3 sons-in-law and 1 granddaughter. The breakfast tables are 4 people. We wanted to get 3 together so we could have breakfast together and the sector employee told us that we could not do it because she would then have to put them back in their place (we never lived like this)
4) The hyper basic breakfast.
If you want an espresso coffee they charge it as an extra. Fruit “0”
5) in the pool leave no more than two towels to dry, you always have to claim more.
6) there is no fridge in the room either to have a fresh water at night, or store a medication
7) The 1.40 bed with a fairly expired mattress.
8) At the time of returning the cards (keys) they wanted to charge us in full when we had already paid 100% of the 4 rooms. (Luckily we asked for receipt and had it to prove it) they had not impacted it on the computer payment.
That is, it is impossible to rate this hotel 4 stars.

Beautiful hotel
The hotel meets, is well maintained, comfortable rooms and acceptable breakfast. Just the discomfort of having to be accompanied to the garage. The staff is very friendly and dedicated. Facing the square is very comfortable location.

Excellent staff. Very friendly. It has its own parking, not included in the reservation for some pages. Reasonable price. Reasonable breakfast. Good ubication. Good wifi. Comfortable rooms, without great pretensions. Ideal for going to sleep.
