I loved it, I went with my 9-year-old son and we'll repeat.

The place is beautiful. The super attentive kids. The place is economical and simple, but very welcoming and familiar. It's obviously a hostel, not a hotel or an apartment, but as a hostel it's the best I've ever experienced. Small rooms, shared bathrooms, the expected. Everything very clean, the breakfast spectacular.

Very nice hostel!

We stayed for 2 nights in the private room.
The hostel locate in a walking distance of 15 minutes up the hill from the center so it's not too bad.
The common space is very homey and cozy and also spacious because the hostel doesn't have many rooms.
Breakfast was very good- pancakes, cereal and coffee.
Shower was clean though the tap wasn't comfortable to use.
The manager is a cool helpfull guy who speaks very good english and the rest of the staff were young volunteers.

Hope you like pancakes

As most people say, the owner does nothing and instead exploits the work away website to run his hostel.
We were lucky most of the volunteers were cool.
Owner was a bit weird and daunted around the place trying to look relevant. If your not american and can't stomach thick pancakes more than once a week, then I'm afraid it's only cereals for breakfast.
Place could use a good clean. But I don't Think they can fit any more volunteers in the place. I estimate it fits about 30 people, at the time we were there there was 7 volunteers.

Ok, but could be better

The facility could be a real cool hostel, but at our stay i don't enjoyed it. We had a private room, it was quite dirty. The shared bathroom was ok, but could have been cleaned more often.
Some parts in the hostel are broken or just part time fixed. If the hostel would be in a better shape and more clean, this one could be very cool!
The staff is cool and friendly. Due to that, i'm a little bit sorry for this medium-review, but i can't give four or five points.

Great Value

The location is good, a short walk from downtown and the staff was very helpful.
Cheap drinks available at the bar, clean kitchen and the Hostel is kept WARM during winter which is awesome. The shower were not the best but definitely worth dealing with it considering the prices.
We stayed in a private room which was comfy and somewhat spacious.
I would recommend it.
