Good budget option with very friendly staff
Their rooms are good value for money, the building is well maintained, the pool looked nice too (we didn't use it), the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! They even offered to call bus companies for us so we knew what time the bus leaves. I spoke Spanish with them. I'm not sure if they can provide the same level of service in English. The breakfast was very basic (toast, marmalade, one croissant, juice and coffee/tea) as others have said. The only real downside was that there were lots of mosquitoes. They have nets covering the windows, but since this area is very humid there just are a lot of mosquitoes in general. It's hard too keep them all out of the room. So you want to pack some insect repellent (generally when you travel to this region).
We stayed here two nights doing some trips around the area. We booked though books.com which worked well. The missions of San Ignacio are a short walk away, the bus is also a walkable distance from the hotel.
Overall we were happy with this hotel and were pleased with the very friendly helpful staff!!

Hotel closed
Morning, I called to book a quadruple room, they were going to send me the data to transfer, they arrived late, we arrived 1.30 hs at the hotel and it was closed, I called the phone and it was disconnected. They don't know how to service, the street is improved, so the little I saw the photos do not match reality.

Could be better
La Toscana is not too far from the main bus stop and a quite few blocks from the San Ignacio ruins (10 - 15 minute walk).
The hotel is well furnished, nicely decorated with a large amount of common space.
Bedroom is huge but there was no duvet which can become a problem if you're staying in Winter. We had the bad surprise to see that the swimming pool was closed for refurbishment which was not mentioned at the point of booking.
Breakfast is basic (croissant, toast, butter and jam) but they do have fresh orange juice. They charge you 5 pesos for hot water if you want to make your own coffee/tea/mate which isn't great.
They also advertised free transfert to the bus terminal but when asked for it we were told how to walk there

A simple pleasant option in San Ignacio
We stayed one night and were very pleased.
Remember it’s a 2 star establishment- rooms are clean and pleasant.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
WiFi ( only in lobby) works well.
It is a pleasant 1.2 mile walk to the ruins.
We did the Sound and Light show and the streets are safe and well lit.
Breakfast is minimal but overlooks the pool.
We were happy we stayed here - having read the mixed reviews our expectations were met.
Family run - three generations- safe and sweet.
And yes - only cold water tap in the bathroom sink. Not a big deal

Fine for a Night
We spent a night here. The bathroom sink had only one tap, only cold water, the shower had hot water. The room was fine with a nice screened window that allowed the nice sounds of birds to be heard in the morning. The road next to the hotel is a dirt road. The continental breakfast is very minimal, coffee and bread, croissant period.
