Amazing experience
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Europe. The location is absolutely ideal. However, what truly makes this hotel special is the professionalism and exceptional service of the entire reception team. They were incredibly kind and helpful! Don't hesisate on following all their recommendations about places to go and eat.

Few lights and many shadows that could be eliminated with little effort.
An unremarkable hotel. In Italy, it would have been a good two-star hotel. Strength point: the proximity to Piazza della Repubblica. Practically 5 minutes on foot.
Spacious and quiet room, clean, with a bathroom equipped with some toiletries and daily linen change. Electrical outlets, even in the room, are few and insufficient. Emergency call button is absent. Bed with possibly small spring mattresses that are simply rearranged by putting the cushions back in place on which the sheet is pulled. Used a kettle cup that was left there.
The staff at the reception is welcoming, always available, and speaks good English. Upon the usual instructions at the arrival of guests, we were informed that breakfast was provided from 8 in the morning. I mentioned that in 50 years of traveling, I had never encountered such a schedule and that they would pick us up at 8 for the excursion to Tatev. I requested to open earlier at least to allow us to have something warm, but the receptionist seemed to experience a moment of embarrassment when the manager, or whoever it was, told her it was not possible. In return, she told us they would provide the usual basket, which turned out to be a wrapped sandwich......
Truly wrong. And fortunately, the weather outside was not cold.
I later read on their website that breakfast was served from 7:30.
Truly unworthy of comment.
Breakfast turned out to be minimal, with a prevalence of discarded baked goods placed in the bins. The same goes for the drinks. The only excellent note was the apricot jam, exceptional, which was diminished in its excellence on bread that I could not tell if it was really like that or always half stale.
That said, with this type of offering, I would not return.

Great location. Walkable to main areas and metro station. Lovely staff.

Nice hotel in a nice central location.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel and room and bathroom were all nice. (there was building work outside, but that will likely be finished soon). The mattress was adequate, slept OK and no backache. The shower was difficult to adjust, but otherwise OK. Towels were a bit small.
I'm not a big fan of buffet breakfast, but the fruit salad was very nice and there was a decent choice as well. The days I wanted breakfast I was not hungry after. And they provided a packed breakfast for the last morning, because I was leaving early.
The WiFi. Setup is perfect. Encrypted and a QR code is provided on reception. You can connect to the WiFi, and start your VPN before doing anything else. (No insecure web pages before you can use it) Didn't seem super fast but, i had no issues, including online meetings and streaming.
Location. There is a supermarket near, and a 24 one a little further. Both have Bureau de change in the same building. A very nice Italian restaurant is close too. There is a market with nice souvenirs nearby too.
A Shuttle Taxi is available, but had to be arranged separately. It would have saved stress if it could have been included in the booking. (This might have been my company booking system, of course.)
I was disappointed (given the hotel name) that they couldn't accept Euros in payment for extras.
I would be happy to go to the same place again.
