Great Experience
Thank you to the General Manager Dinesh and his staff for an unforgettable experience. My 10-year-old son is wanting to go back for a longer stay. We enjoyed the food at dinner, the pool and the great location being next to Doncaster Shopping Town. It is well worth a visit and stay.

Great staycation!
We stayed here in two Deluxe King rooms for our family of 2 adults and 2 children. This was the second time we have stayed at the Mercure Doncaster.
The rooms are well appointed with (in my opinion) really comfortable beds. Compact but adequate bathrooms with a large walk in shower.
Again, we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is conveniently located next to the shopping centre, staff are lovely and very efficient and the hotel facilities are great.
Car parking was easy, we parked underneath and paid $25 for the night.
We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotels restaurant. Dinner was reasonable with a decent choice of options including a kids menu. Buffet breakfast was adequate with a standard variety of options and provided good value for money. Barista coffee was an additional cost, otherwise they had a self serve coffee machine and tea station.
My only negative feedback would be related to the overall temperature across the hotel. It is the middle of winter in Melbourne and cold! I was too cold in the restaurant and hotel lobby area where I also noticed other guests sitting with coats on. The indoor swimming pool which was a highlight for our children and a feature of the hotel, was uncomfortably cold. Even when moving about in the water and actively trying to warm up, we cut our time in the pool short as we were so cold which was a shame.
Definitely will return to this hotel for another staycation in the future as it offered great value for money for a modern and clean hotel.

Glass water bottles are great and worth getting when you check in and fill up with your choice of still or sparkling water.
Breakfast is pretty average and would not pay for again.
