Parking was fine. Elevator was broken so had to use the stairs which are steep. Got told to move to garden to continue on my phone call and i was talking quietly too and no one was around. They said due to guests in the room at ground level which there is a bench seat outside in front of that window. Maybe move bench if people cant sit and talk there.

Hotel was very conveniently situated within easy walking distance to town centre, museums etc, Cataract Gorge walk and many restaurants. The staff were excellent. Very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel and you can go on the balcony on the 2nd floor. Very soft and fluffy towels, comfy bed.

Disappointed

We had a 3 night stay at the Auldington Hotel at a cost of $549.00 for the stay. No complaints about the room etc which was fine, however, a week after our stay I received a phone call from the hotel claiming that we had taken an item (chocolate) from the mini bar which was unpaid for. I knew that we hadn't used anything as we had bought wine, cheese and chocolates from a liquor shop and Woolworths to have on our balcony, and we have a policy of never touching the mini bar. I explained this to the young man on the phone but to my disappointment and annoyance I noticed that the next day they had deducted an amount from my credit card which was not authorised by me.
I know it was only a small amount but their attitude the principle is what ruined my opinion of this hotel.
I had given them a good review on Booking.com which I have since deleted. Would I stay here again or recommend them - No.
I suggest anyone staying here take a photo of the contents of the mini bar before they leave.

Lift was out of order which was a problem for one of our party. Would have been good to know in advance. We were on the third floor and they couldn’t move us.
