Ask for a room that is not on the road/street side. The noise from the cars & the people at night is very loud.

amazing stay thanks to emilly
Lovely stay, rooms very clean neat and presetentable. Bedding extremly comfy kids slept very peacefully. 10/10 service form Emilly, she was lovely, kind, dedicated and very accomidatig with our needs. Couldnt recomened her service enough shes one of the best weve had!! Definelty ask for her help when booking!!

Not up to standard !
As Accor members we were offered a room with a King bed at the front of the hotel facing the main road next to the McDonalds drive in ,after much discussion and checking several rooms (apparently because it was a Sunday afternoon no other King rooms in any quieter part were available) we found one which was much quieter.
We decided to dine in the restaurant and have the "special" of Chicken Kiev and vege's , what came had been deep fried for a very long time and mixed vege's from a freezer pack.
The Smart TV worked sporadically due to internet issues and the refrigerater freezer was so covered in ice that it wouldn't freeze ice cubes.
I spoke to the Duty Manager when we checked out and got the usual thank you for your feedback and the comment that the road noise wasn't as bad as it used to be !

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent experience at Mercure Echuca.
Our group had booked four rooms approximately six months in advance and received formal confirmation at the time. However, while we were already en route—just one hour away after a four-hour journey—we received a phone call from the hotel advising that they had overbooked and could only provide two of the four rooms reserved. We were told they would attempt to source alternative accommodation for the remaining rooms.
Given the circumstances and the inconvenience caused, we made our own arrangements elsewhere and declined the reduced booking.
This experience reflects a serious lapse in booking management and customer service. To have confirmed accommodation cancelled at such short notice is both unacceptable and highly disruptive. It significantly impacted our travel plans and confidence in the reliability of the hotel.
I would strongly encourage the management to review their reservation processes to ensure that other guests are not placed in a similar situation.

I had a concerning experience during our stay. The room doors shut very quickly and forcefully, which can be dangerous—especially for children. Unfortunately, my daughter’s finger got stuck in the door. Thankfully, she wasn’t injured very badly, but it was a very scary moment for us. I strongly recommend the hotel consider installing soft-closing mechanisms or safety features to prevent such incidents in the future. This would make the environment much safer for families with young children.
Otherwise, we had a very good experience overall and enjoyed our stay.
