Was convenient and clean just what I needed after a long drive, check in was easy I was arriving after reception closed but the hotel sent me clear instructions on how to access my room would recommend to anyone

Poor experience, nice owners but never again.
Stayed for work for a few days, was dismayed to see how cheap it was as that doesn't bode well...seems functional at first, double bed, decent bathroom, kettle, microwave...but it was pretty grimey at the edges and worst of all, bedbugs or something in the beds causing itches. I tried to tolerate it, although I was booked in there for two weeks, I simply couldn't stand it and had to leave with rashes everywhere. Had to leave work to wash and dry literally everything i had to get them off.
However owners were understanding and accommodating. They thought it was midges, which isn't great anyway, but they did refund when I asked to leave.
Other drawbacks is a seriously tight carpark, broken lights, sliding door to adjacent room allowing all sound to come through and long term residents screaming their heads off during the night. However tight the budget, this isn't worth it.

This is the new owner for Siesta Villa Motel. Please could you advise the dates you stayed. I have not refunded anyone's booking since takeover and have had no business traveler's since before Christmas. I am seriously concerned that is not the Siesta Villa in Gladstone (as there is another) that you are referring to.
We have begun upgrading the rooms and every single bed in the hotel is brand new 30cm cushion top. We also do not have rooms with sliding interconnecting doors? Our hotel is solidly built in the late 50's and the room walls are over 20cm thick. Again making me question if you have the right hotel?
Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Felt very unsafe.
Only stayed 20 minutes! Check in is 2-7, Arrived 2:15pm note on office said closed until 3pm. When returning made to wait while she finished her smoke before being served. In the 20 minutes I was there with my son she yelled at someone about their driving and then (I have recorded) screamed at other guests about drugs and their behaviour. Didn’t feel safe left and was told she would refund (booked via travel app, screenshot pics of conversation) our night just chased this up as no refund yet and have now been told she won’t be refunding. Rooms very are run down paint missing, dusty and very sad rooms.

This is the new owner of the Siesta Villa Motel. We took ownership of the hotel at the end of April. I see you stayed prior to our takeover. I unfortunately have only just been given access to this site and thought I would reach out. We have begun refurbishing the hotel, giving her new lease on life, with plush beds and a new modern feel. As I run the hotel single handed, reception and check-in does have operational times from 2-6pm, to facilitate other areas of the hotel that need attention such as housekeeping etc. We do however communicate with our guests and offer after hour check-in procedures it this is required.
I do hope that if travelling to Gladstone again, you will give us an opportunity to show you the upgrades.
Please also note that we have strict policies and procedures in place to ensure we provide a welcoming environment. We do not tolerate guests that are unruly or badly behaved. Right of admission is upheld and narcotics use results in immediate termination of reservation.

Never again.
Initial visit was passable. Air conditioner very noisy. Returned next weekend for booking made previous October. ‘Manageress’ totally unfriendly and demanding cash payment in addition to payment made via Booking.com. Accused us of leaving rubbish in the waste bin in the bathroom, apparently we were supposed to empty it into the bins outside! Will not be back.

A Nasty Version of Fawlty Towers
The male owner/manager of the Siesta Villa Motel observed me topping up the radiator of my car using the kettle from my motel room. Any and every normal person would understand that this involved holding the kettle above the radiator opening and pouring in water – exactly the same as holding the kettle above a coffee mug and pouring in water and exactly the same as holding the kettle over a sink and pouring out water (e.g. to empty the kettle).
Any and every normal person would understand that topping up a car radiator using a kettle would not, and could not, cause any harm or damage to the kettle. There was no contact between the kettle and any part of my car – there was simply no need for the kettle to touch anything.
Well, the male owner/manager abused me for using the kettle to top up my radiator. I’m not kidding! He literally abused me in a very hostile way. And he told me to throw out the kettle because it was now contaminated with oil and that I needed to pay him $20.00 to buy a new one.
I stress – no part of the kettle had any contact whatsoever with any part of my car. You can picture pouring water from a kettle into a radiator, yes?
The male owner/manager of the Siesta Villa Motel is an irrational, illogical, unscrupulous person! In my opinion, this person does not have the intelligence or personality needed to deal with paying customers.
