The airconditioning was turned on at a warm setting on the cold day we booked, the reception was welcoming and most importantly the butter chicken at the restaurant inside the motor inn as just Devine.

Probably a better place to stay in Summer
I stayed overnight whilst travelling South toward Victoria. It was dark by the time I pulled off the Freeway. My Nav guided me off the Freeway & onto the bridge over the Freeway that this property sits on. My vehicle found pretty much every pothole on the barely lit road. Upon booking, I was advised that there is a Restaurant on the premises. But travelling Solo, I just wanted to park up, get warm, eat & sleep. The only other building prior to the Motel was a KFC. So KFC it was. The room looked great at first. No microwave!? I couldn't get the Aircon to heat up. Thought I'd warm up in bed... no electric blankets! Overall, I'd be more likely to stay again when Sydney bound, arriving before dark to be able to see the potholes & definitely NOT during winter as it's very, very cold!

I do not recommend this motel to anyone
Our stay at this motel was unfortunately disappointing from the very beginning. The booking for our two‑night stay was mishandled — only one night had been reserved for the room we specifically requested. For the second night we were lucky another room happened to be available, but it meant giving up the separate single beds we had booked and instead sharing one bed.
The first room we were given was also not clean. There was urine left in the toilet bowl, hair on the toilet, in the shower, and across the floor. The room was dusty enough that we both started sneezing shortly after arriving. Because of the overall condition, we didn’t feel confident that the bed sheets were clean, so we slept on top of the bed rather than getting under the covers.
To make matters worse, no towels were supplied in the first room. When we moved to the second room the next day, we were questioned about the “missing” towels and even asked whether we had taken them in our luggage. It was uncomfortable being put in a position where we had to explain something that wasn’t provided to us in the first place.
The second morning brought another major issue: there was no hot water available anywhere in the motel. Guests were stepping out of their rooms asking each other whether it was just their unit or if everyone was affected, and it quickly became clear that the problem was widespread. No one was able to take a proper shower.
Even though our original booking was for a room with separate beds, the second room only had one blanket for the shared bed. Having to share a single blanket made the night uncomfortable and awkward, especially since this wasn’t the arrangement we had booked or expected.
The common kitchen also left a lot to be desired. Crockery and cutlery were left out in the open and covered in dust, which didn’t inspire confidence in using them. On top of that, there was only one microwave available for the entire motel, making it inconvenient for guests who needed to prepare or heat food.
Overall, it’s clear the motel has dropped its standards dramatically. From the booking issues to the cleanliness problems and lack of basic amenities, our experience was far below what we expected. Based on this stay, we cannot recommend this motel to anyone.

Tastiest of Indian dinners
Dinner at the newly opened Marulan Motor Inn Restaurant was so tasty. Service was super friendly and fast. Enjoyed the Butter Chicken, Curry Lamb with the fluffiest of rice and garlic naan bread. Definitely will be eating here again in the not too distant future.

The property is clean and well landscaped. It’s one way in, one way out. Rooms are clean and smell pleasant. Beds are comfy, water pressure in the shower is excellent. The microwave is located in the room with the washing machines. All in all, a very pleasant stay.
