Poor Experience

After reading reviews from other people, I booked a two night stay. I'm sorry to say that our experience was really poor. Carpets were stained as was both the toilet and shower pan floor. I thought the non slip mat in the shower was for safety but after using it, discovered that it protected our feet from the moving drain. Toilet flush barely worked and the extractor fan was so noisy I thought it would explode. Towels small and ultra thin and wet through before you'd finished your face and arms- no face washer at all.
The spare blanket on the bed was so old that the satin binding was torn all along the sides. Only good thing was bed which was very comfortable. No dishrag to wash/ wipe any spills when making a cup of tea. I didn't expect a 5 star experience but at $150 plus per night left me with a feeling of being ripped off.

Loud Noise Until After 3am

The house next door to the motel is playing very loud music and being disorderly. It is 3am, yet the motel is doing nothing about it. I don't know how often this happens but according to locals it is regular. I want to sleep at night, and this is not possible here. Be aware!

Unclean and unhygienic

This motel appear great from the outside but the rooms that we and family and friend s stayed in were a disgrace. They were filthy especially in the bathrooms.
The shower trays were almost black and the grout between the files was black with mould. It was a horrible experience.
The utensils provided left a lot to be desired as well. They were dirty and not even a bowl for breakfast in ours.
We had big spiders above our bed and were still there when we left. I did tell the person doing the cleaning and he offered to go and remove them. I said leave them for now and make sure they are gone for the next guests. Hopefully they are.
Overall this place I would rate at somewhere between a 1 and 2 star motel.

An absolute GEM of a place to stay

Goomeri might only be a little town, but it's got a big heart! We loved our stay here. Check-in was fast and friendly, the room was impeccably presented and had everything that we needed for an overnight stay. We had a really enjoyable, in-depth and comprehensive discussion with the manager the next morning - those sorts of things make for a welcoming and enjoyable stay. If you want breakfast at the motel, you can order it. Otherwise there are a fantastic coffee shop and a bakery just down the road. We'd stay here again, no doubt about it at all.
