Great apartment , would recommend for a couple or family of 4.

Great two bedroom apartment, very clean and modern decor. Our apartment on the 9th floor (31) had a balcony to enjoy the breeze and lovely ocean view, which you also get from the living and both bedrooms. Full size kitchen is set up for cooking or it is walking distance to Maroochy Surf Club, Cotton Tree restaurants or a short drive to Sunshine Plaza which has heaps of eateries. Onsite parking in a secure garage.

We stayed 2night in the winter holidays. Very lovely beach view from 6th floor. Our family enjoyed the games room, hot tub and sauna on the days it was too cold for the beach. Great location to walk to cafes and restaurants.

Our holiday venue of choice never disappoints.

The criteria in our family for any stay at the beach always involves a beachfront ocean view, and a patrolled beach just over the road. Catalina 1 is our choice of accommodation for such beach breaks.This allows members to come and go as they please without having to take the car out. From 14-21 April we chose two three bedroom units to allow our visiting family to mingle easily on the occasion of a special 100th birthday celebration at the Maroochy RSL Club. The reception staff of Richard, Rachael, Olivia and Courtney always go above and beyond with their customer service and my husband and I appreciate that we can turn to them with even the slightest inquiry which makes for a happier stay. Catalina is situated in the midst of so many eateries, chemist, newsagent, butcher, two seafood shops, that a five minute walk accomplishes all needs. Lovers of seafood must venture down to Penny's Seafoods opposite the Cotton Tree Caravan Park for fresh or cooked supplies. The units at Catalina are all strata title owned so cooking utensils in each one depend on the owner's tastes. We suggest checking out the Catalina website itself before making a reservation to gain a better idea of the type of accommodation in which you hope to stay.

Room with a fabulous sea view. Great pool/spa areas with access to both areas so we could choose the one that suited our needs.
The direct connection to the beach was also convenient.
Staff were chatty whether it be 5 am on our way to watch the sunrise when he was cleaning the pool or in the evening when he was watering the gardens.
Books and puzzles available in the reception area to borrow.
Short walk to the ice cream shop cafes and superette. The Ginger Factory, Nut Factory The Big Pineapple and Aquarium all a short drive away. We went to The Ginger/Nut Factory prior to checking in and The Big Pineapple on our way home after check out
