Very cool, unique hotel. Absolutely loved our stay.
As a lover of history, I thought this would be a really cool hotel to stay at and it wasn’t too far from a wedding we were attending. We would love to come back here and have more time, especially so that we could do the prison tour which we didn’t have time for on this stay.
Check-in was smooth and friendly and we were very happy with our one bedroom, spacious apartment in the new section. Hubby is 6’5” so doesn’t fit well into a queen bed, which is what the Interlude historic section of the hotel has.
This is a nice quiet hotel and our room had a view over the prison courtyard. We were initially assigned a room on the other side, which really didn’t have a decent view. Fortunately, they were able to switch us to the prison yard side.
The apartment was very comfortable, quite new and had everything we needed. There is a small IGA store nearby for food and drink supplies.
A very big highlight was having a night out at the Olivine wine bar in the old historic section of the hotel. We just dropped in for one cocktail and ended up staying four hours, spending a small fortune and enjoy enjoying multiple cocktails and wine and delicious small plates. It was just so cool doing this in a refurbished old prison cell. A tip – rug up well if you’re there in autumn or winter as those cell walls are very, very cold. The service at the wine bar was lovely, although a little bit chaotic at times.
So we had a most enjoyable stay and we look forward to having an opportunity to come back and stay some more.

Rooms were generous side, bathroom curtains should be changed. The air conditioning kept cutting off even with windows and doors closed. Dish washer wouldn’t work. However staff did their best to fix them. They got the air conditioning working and were really apologetic and attentive. The hotel surrounding is absolutely beautiful build in an old jail with IGA and restaurants within 2 minutes walk. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Wedding weekend
Booked a 2 days stay as my son and his (now wife!) were getting married at Pentridge. I was really happy with the Adina room and amenities. Surroundings were clean and tidy, the heating was adjustable, bed was comfy and all staff I interacted with were friendly and very helpful. I loved the coffee pod machine! Plus - easy 2 minute walk to lots of eating and drinking venues (can also recommend Brewdog and Cobricks!). Would I stay here again - without doubt! Thanks to all for making such a special weekend fabulous :)

Adina Pentridge is my usual place to stay when I’m in Melbourne. Check-in is always quick and easy, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean, comfortable and inviting, with a lovely cosy bed that makes it easy to relax after a busy day. I always enjoy my stay and would happily recommend Adina Pentridge.
