Our room was clean , beds were comfortable , the buffet breakfast was amazing . I hope to stay again in the future

Car park is ridiculously narrow to enter and turn into - let alone exit
After calling for directions 4x as Google map via Hotels ap took us to wrong street - staff still didn’t tell us to stop and unload luggage and my 77yo mother out front instead of in the underground carpark with 3 flights of stairs
Restaurant wasn’t open / not in business at all - also inaccurately described on Hotels ap
Room very clean, breakfast buffet good

Cost and location

The Ibis Melbourne Hotel and Apartments on Victoria Street is a solid 3-star choice for those prioritizing space and location over meticulous service. Its greatest strength is the room size; the accommodations and bathrooms are notably more spacious than your typical city-center Ibis, offering plenty of breathing room. It is also perfectly positioned within easy walking distance of Bourke and Flinders Streets. However, the experience was hindered by under-par housekeeping. While the basics like bed-making and towel swaps were handled, the room wasn't thoroughly cleaned and essential supplies weren't fully replenished. It’s a decent, well-located option, provided you don't mind a "bare-minimum" approach to daily room maintenance.

Value for money

Value for money in terms of location and room size. Kunga at check in was wonderful, definitely a great asset to the reception team. Liv was also helpful. Thank you, hope to be back

Very disappointing stay. The hotel was extremely dirty and poorly maintained. The curtains were stained and grimy, the carpets throughout the room and hallways were old and filthy, and the bathroom was very outdated. The bathroom fixtures were worn out, discolored, and even loose.
There was not even a power outlet next to the bed to charge a phone, which was very inconvenient. The room had only one small, dim light, making the space feel dark and depressing. The bathroom had no ventilation at all.
The photos used in the advertising are highly misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the property. Even the carpet at the main entrance was old and badly worn, and the walls and corridors looked dirty and neglected.
Overall, the hotel is in serious need of renovation and much better cleaning standards. I was genuinely shocked by the condition of the room and would not stay here again.
