Main issues were thin walls - snoring next door! Also a struggle to keep warm

Our experience at this motel had pros and cons.
Firstly, this accommodation sends emails on the day of arrival and then some time after responds with the room access code.We were out of internet range for most of the day and did not receive the email until we arrived in Omeo, and in range. We sat in our car for 40 minutes after responding to the email waiting for the code to access our room. I did try ringing but no one answered
The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable, however the pillows were very flat.
Be aware there is no TV and very poor quality internet, we had to keep going out to the driveway to pick up internet connection. Good for catching up on reading.
The units are back from the road and are quiet

There was no table suitable for doing any work or eating a meal.

I found privacy to be an issue. Blind didn't cover window properly and door was frosted glass but no curtain. People walking past could see in. Couldn't watch TV as there was no internet connection and TV was wifi only.

Not great
Room was not ready at the booked time of 2pm. We understand and appreciate it was a long weekend but no one advised the room wouldn't be ready so we were waiting around wasting time and changing plans.
Secondly, the TV didn't work. At all. Not even free to air TV.
Thirdly, extremly inadequate bedding. It was freezing and the doona/sheets on bed no where near enough. Blankets in cupboard very thin. Luckily I had a sleeping bag in the ute we could use. Heater old and didn't do much either.
Contact method to motel very frustrating. Office hours stated phones manned 10-4. Multiple times we rang and no answer. Ended up pressing the emergency "8" option to get someone.
Disappointing not getting what paid for.

We recently took over the management of the property, we've decked the property out with all new furniture, bedding, heaters, TVs, crockery/cutlery etc. as well as added in complimentary Starlink WiFi.
We apologise that your stay was not as expected, since receiving your review, we have:
Learnt that a 2pm check-in time is not achievable for our operational teams, thus have amended that to 4pm to ensure guest expectations can be managed better. Our aim will be to have rooms ready early and contact guests once they are to allow check-ins as early as possible.
We've purchased all new winter/warm bedding for the winter season to address the lack of warm bedding for guests.
Ensured all TVs are connected to the Starlink WiFi to enable free to air TV as well as guests being able to log in to their own streaming services (if they wish).
Established a 24/7 after hours service for any calls afterhours of when we are not available to answer calls.
