We enjoyed our stay. Comfortable bed, good shower.
The breakfast was amazing.
The grounds are kept well.
All in all a wonderful time spent.

Soundproofing issue not very relaxing

Everything would have been 5 stars if not for the complete lack of soundproofing between the upper and lower rooms, which was incredibly irritating and ruined what was meant to be a relaxing stay in the Barossa Valley.
We were in a lower room and the absolutely frustrating thump thump of people's feet on the ceiling, loud and constant for hours, was horrible. We were annoyed and we had a very interrupted sleep. It wasn't even the guest's fault, they were just walking around normally, this is more an issue with the hotel's soundproofing.
And this couldn't even be saved by asking to move rooms because we wanted to avoid the stairs for the upper rooms (no lifts, not great for those with mobility issues/prams/ large luggage) and/or a room far away from main dining/reception.
Location, the room itself, the staff, the bar and the breakfast was all lovely. We had a great wine and cheese platter by the open fire in the restaurant.
Dinner was a bit strange in that you're restricted to 2- or 3-course per person pricing - this was not great for us as one of us can't eat very much. There should be a la carte options. We were restricted to the limited items on the bar menu for dinner.
Really let down by that one soundproofing issue. Would not stay here again just for that. You need to soundproof your rooms.

Relaxing in the vines.

A great start to our road trip holiday in central Australia. The atmosphere wears welcoming. Location to nearby wineries made for great day tripping. The rooms were warm and cozy. Great value for 2 days.

Great Stay

We had a 2 night stay at the Novotel Barossa Valley, found check in simple and very helpful ( best wineries to go etc) there was also wine tasting both nights between 4 and 5 o’clock , room was spacious and clean ( if you have any mobility issues ask for downstairs room ) there was a lot to choose from at breakfast , also found reception at checkout very friendly and helpful ,I would definitely stay here again

Have stayed here before and I was happy enough with it so we booked again.
This time, we were placed in a ground floor room and whilst the room (superior) was still fine, the noise was horrendous. All we could hear was footsteps above and around us…sounded like elephants!
Poor concrete construction, but reasonably clean renovated rooms/bathrooms.
The amount of millipedes that somehow get in despite door seals etc is a bit concerning.
The views are spectacular.
If I go again, I would insist on a top level room.
