worst experience ever

I was on hold for 30 mins only to be hung up on. I called back, after 15 mins I was told there were no rooms left. I questioned this. I was finally given a room. Check in was ok. I parked my car in the car park to charge my phone and talk to the misus only to be confronted by the (hero) grounds man who accused me of smoking pot-I wasn't. He then came back later and told me to move my car as other patrons had to park there-there was only one other car in the car park. I moved my car for the HERO. I left my room for a cigarette only to be confronted by HERO again and told to move or he would fine me $200 and evict me (he could have just told me where the smoking area was). I was so disgusted by this point that I packed up my car and left without even staying in the room. If not for the HERO grounds man, being lied to over the phone, and the constant harassment (basically everything) my stay would have been fine. My advice. Find another motel. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!

Clean and Comfortable

Rooms basic and bathroom a bit dated, but expected as a motel and comfortable. Well worth the price. Self-check in was easy and I was texted when the room was ready. Room was clean, in a good location close to shops and places to eat, and had a parking space allocated. Couldnt ask for more

Although the building needs some renovations the bed, bedding, towels and supplies were good. Easy self check in and friendly manager greeted us. Locality was short walk to shops and the excellent Maitland City Club.

Self Serve Motel not for me

Good value and clean basic rooms. But only has auto check in. I booked online and when I arrived, there was only a closed reception office with a machine outside. It dispensed my plastic door card. It was very impersonal, no meals, no friendly manager to talk to. I travel frequently and I hope too many motels go this way.
It is bad enough doing your own check out at the supermarkets etc. I won't be back
