More than a stay. Amberesque is an unforgettable experience.
We recently stayed at Amberesque for 4 days on our 2 week winter road trip driving from Newcastle, NSW, to Adelaide, SA.
Amber & Shannon, owners of Amberesque, are most welcoming hosts. Their grace set the scene for our beautiful stay.
Amber was so helpful with Rutherglen information to help plan our days & nights. She curated our stay with excellent suggestions to suit our interests.
The B&B, housed in a historic bank building, has been incredibly well preserved & is appointed beautifully.
Our room was luxuriously furnished & extremely comfortable. We slept like babies. Our ensuite was large with luxury amenities provided.
Amberesque has a number of floors with many cozy areas to relax in. Even when other guests were staying, the layout made it easy to find our own privacy. We loved relaxing in the enclosed balcony upstairs lounge, watching movies in the downstairs projector film room, and sitting by the wood fireplace in the lounge.
A unique highlight is the guests' pantry housed inside the historic old bank vault. The garden is lovely.
The breakfasts Amber presented each morning were extraordinarily good.
We highly recommend Amberesque for a unique, luxurious, and truly beautiful stay.

World Class
We had the privilege of staying at Amberesque this weekend, and I can honestly say I’ve never experienced hospitality like it.
Amber’s generosity and attention to detail are truly world-class and clearly I’m not the first person to think so, as her incredible career has seen her host royals and prime ministers.
Guests have access to the entire bank, with cosy lounges by the fireplace, a hidden cellar, a verandah to watch the sunset (with a complimentary cheese platter), a speakeasy featuring a cinema and secret whisky bar, and then there are the rooms! Heavy curtains fit for a queen (or a ballgown), a heritage ensuite with a spa bath, and beds you’ll never want to leave.
As incredible as all of that is, the real highlight is Amber herself. We were lucky enough to experience her Louisiana menu, but despite the mouthwatering smells coming from the kitchen, we were almost disappointed when she left to cook because we were enjoying her company so much.
Staying at Amberesque is an experience that completely redefines hospitality. Thank you, Amber. We’ll absolutely be back, and we’ll be sending all of our friends!

Great Rutherglen Experience
We had such a beautiful experience, and felt so welcomed and at home because of Amber’s wonderful, personal touch.
The breakfast menu was next level, which was carefully prepared and deliciously enjoyed!
Rutherglen is a beautiful town with so many well preserved historic buildings and an abundance of fabulous wineries. Amberesque B&B is an outstanding example of what Rutherglen has to offer.
We will be back, the Amberesque experience is wonderful, so much to love!

Two wonderful days in Rutherglen
We stayed two days at this beautiful B&B. An old converted ANZ Bank in the middle of town and walking distance, within 100 metres to two great restaurants. The host and owner is exceptional and the breakfasts divine. Very knowledgeable about the area, the local restaurants and the wineries. A first class experience and a wonderful host. After returning from dinner the open fire was blazing and we enjoyed a complimentary Muscat from the barrel for our night cap. We will return

WOW - Amberesque ticks all the boxes.
WOW Amberesque B&B was a great place to stay with Amber a superb host.
The rooms are spacious, super comfortable, and have all the little details plus more. From the friendly smile upon arrival, cheese platter, local wines, to the breakfast with all the options and local knowledge you are sure to have an enjoyable stay.
Located in the middle of the Main Street with lots of good food and drink options on your door step and fabulous wineries and restaurants a short drive away.
Don’t want to venture out you can relax in the garden or enjoy morning coffee or an afternoon wine on the balcony.
Highly recommended.
