Great country pub
To be honest I thought it was ok , but nothing to write home about. We drove 40 minutes for it. I wouldn’t have driven that far if I knew how the food was.
We had entrees to start with dim sims and special spring rolls. They were ok. Then the mains we had the bird nest ( a bit of everything in it), seafood combination in curry sauce kids fish and chips and off the Aussie food was a scotch fillet.
The meals were ok. But nothing amazing, the chips were really nice. But long drive to get chips. The steak wasn’t the best. Overall not worth the drive out of the way to get Chinese food. And the prices were on the high side aswell. For 2 of us was 95.00. Not including drinks. Two mains , two entrees and a rice.
The positives.
The staff were great, friendly and very helpful. The restaurant was clean and tidy. The atmosphere in the entry point was really nice. But then goes into the normal dining room.
Maybe a 5/10. Just average. I wish it lived up to the hype was disappointing

The Chinese restaurant has great gluten free options and amazing food.
Will come back to the restaurant but not paying $160 for room here. Got greedy I think despite a minor spruce up to the rooms.
