Best place I have ever stayed in! With a WATERFALL at your door step!

Best place I have ever stayed in, Ebony is an amazing host with so much knowledge of the area. Her dog Bella is the sweetest and Ebony cooks up a storm!!!! I would rate this 6 stars if I could! There is a creek at the back of the property and it feels so tranquil with all the hammocks, and to top it off the property also backs on to the Purlingbrook Falls trail with a 50 metre walk to the top of the falls. Its about 30 minutes to the bottom. The location in itself is perfect! Best place I have ever stayed, I think I mentioned that already :)

Not the best value ever

To me this place should be on Airbnb. It's a room in a house, not a guest house. $120 per night probably repesents the worst value for money I have paid in 5 years of traveling the globe. I know it's Australia but we had just left Brisbane and Noosa and paid less for much better accommodation with "luxuries" like a private bathroom for less.
I honestly think the good reviews are fake as I cannot see how 5 stars is possible with this average suburban house in the country.
Its a nice area to see but easily done from the Gold Coast and given the lack of accomodation up here I would stay down on the coast somewhere and drive up for the day.

Mountain Retreat

Thankyou Ebony for a wonderful stay to celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary, a lovely double room with shared bathroom, which was not a problem. Very comfortable bed, clean, in a relaxed atmosphere, the property borders on the national park so a 50m walk through the forest took us to the path and a short walk to the cascading falls. Ebony has a vast knowledge of the surrounding walks, lookouts and points of interest.
We can recommend the Lost Fawn Cafe for lunches, great coffee, friendly staff.

Taking a relaxing escape with nature

Great hospitality provided by the host “ Ebony&Andy”. The accommodation was very peaceful, cozy and to top it all off, being surrounded by nature. Perfect for those seeking tranquillity and peace of mind.

Purling Brook Falls Guest House

The surrounding area is very scenic with beautiful views over the valleys and waterfalls, lust sub-tropical rainforest is everywhere mixed in with lust farming land. Unfortunately the accommodation was not as good as the scenery and left us disappointed, The cost of the meals breakfast $40 / day & dinner $50 / day separate to the cost of the accommodation made it a expensive 2 day trip. Due to the lack of restaurant's in the area I suppose these rates can be charged for ordinary food. All food had to be paid in cash as no card services are available.
