Our room was spacious, with great views of the busy streets below. The room, however, was noisy. Street noise could be heard until the early hours of the morning and was at a level that would disturb someone who is used to sleeping in a quiet environment.
The buffet breakfast was more than sufficient, and good value. The only other disappointing aspect of our room was the shower. The door didn't fit properly and water made its way out, making the floor slippery and dangerous.
The area surrounding the Ibis World Square is incredible. Night life, resteraunts, icecream parlours, bars and cinema. This is why we enjoy staying at the Ibis World Square.

Great position close to everything however hotel feels tired & rooms are basic. Noisy at night due to pub music next door. Hotel offer ear plugs which helped.

Rooms were pretty filthy and staff were unsympathetic regarding the issue. Make-up and bronzer stains were on tabletops, food grease stains were on the windows and surfaces, thick layer of dust on the tv and headboard are just a few of the cleanliness issues. This was in both rooms that were booked. Disappointing for an ibis hotel. We stayed at the Melbourne Ibis a couple days earlier and had no issues there.

Very noisy

Stay away from this hotel in weekends if you want a good night sleep. The hotel has family rooms next to a nightclub. The room I had reminded of a prison cell with a view directly into a concret wall. Otherwise the hotel has a central location near public transport and Sydneys Chinatown.

Excellent location. Well maintained and clean. Our shower leaked, making a small puddle across the bathroom floor whenever we used it. Only a minor nuisance, which we didn't feel the need to complain about, and housekeeping always left it scrupulously clean and tidy. Overall a very pleasant stay.
