Moxy Sydney Airport is the kind of airport hotel that makes you briefly consider cancelling your flight and staying at the bar.
Arrived early, no status, no drama – they handed over a key like it was the most natural thing in the world. No “come back at three,” no sighing at the computer. Just a warm welcome and a room ready before you expected it. That alone puts them in rare air.
Check‑in at the bar is a clever move when the bar team are this good. They’re fast, friendly, and seem genuinely invested in whether you’re having a decent day. It feels more like dropping into a neighbourhood spot than navigating another anonymous hotel lobby.
The chicken schnitty? Proper comfort‑food territory. Generous, satisfying, and exactly what you want when you’re half‑way between home and a departure gate. It’s pub‑style without the pub grime, and it anchors the whole “this is more than just a transit stop” vibe.
Upstairs, the room matches the mood downstairs: clean, sharp, and well‑looked‑after, not just “turned over.” Same sense of care, same feeling that someone has actually thought about what a tired traveller needs for one night and then delivered it without making a big deal out of it.

Great place to stay
Excellent check in. Loved the cocktail which was a great start to our stay. Rooms excellent. Great vibe. Staff were very friendly especially Nathan. Food was lovely. Will be back.

A true Gem!
I love staying at the Moxy before an early flight. It is super convenient to both the domestic and International airport and is very comfortable. Lovely staff, good facilities and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The vibe in the hotel makes you feel like you could be anywhere. It is a true gem

Finally. An airport hotel with an actual pulse. Spent two days working from the bar, eating well, and being treated like a human by a fantastic crew. Moxy Sydney Airport just ended my search for a go-to spot. Bold, modern, and miles ahead of the competition.

An unexpected overnight
Having had our flight cancelled last minute, we were put up in the Moxy Sydney Airport Hotel. What a pleasure from start to finish. The moment we arrived we were met by management greeting us with a welcome drink and a smile. Check in was simple and quick. The room was super funky and modern and an amazing concept of space and practicality and had everything we needed. The ambience in the lobby and bar was inviting and the food was incredible and pleasantly inexpensive. Live music added to to ambience during the evening and afterwards, the best night sleep was had by both. Absolutely will be staying here again and I highly recommend it to all.
