Love this hotel. Great location for restaurants and transport. Comfortable rooms, has everything you need. My new favourite in Sydney!

Staycation with 3 kids
I stayed here for a staycation with my husband and 3 kids. We had an interconnecting room which was great as they were just in the next room.
The shower in my room was absolutely amazing!!
Road noise was expected but not too bad.
Buffet breakfast had plenty of options which was good for my picky eaters.
Both rooms incredibly clean and beds comfy.
Also great location to walk around and explore.
Would definitely stay again

Loyalty Should Have Had More Than Silence
Since then Novotel Sydney Darling Square has been my go to hotel whenever I am in Sydney, I visit twice a year. Its a hotel I've happily revisited due to the people and experience.
While at breakfast at Pier St. Grill, we inadvertently failed to utilise our guest welcome drink allowance before ordering barista made coffee. Later, when I asked if the unused entitlement could just be applied instead, I got the Reception Manager's explanation that policy did not let them change the transaction.
The coffee was never the problem.
As a repeat guest checking out to come back under a new reservation I really wanted there to be some wiggle room in giving loyalty benefit, alongside policy. Eventually I wrote a respectful email to management—not in an attempt to demand reimbursement, but because I felt my feedback might help make the experience better for future guests.
What hurt me most contemptibly was that I never received any recognition or response.
In some cases silence makes a much louder statement than the original concern.
Novotel Sydney Darling Square is still a well located hotel with many dedicated members of the team, and I genuinely wish it all the success going forward. All I ask for is that loyal returning guests are treated as important where they feel remembered when it comes not only to booking history, but some of these comments too.

Perfect location for us to attend a business event at the Sydney ICC, which is a 2 min walk. So close to so many great restaurants, and the Pump House bar was a great venue to wind down after a very full-on day. Hotel rooms were great and very comfortable. Staff were also fantastic and very helpful.

hot water wasn't that that hot in the evening or morning! also stairs next to lifts have locks, so once in them you can't get out! even when you arrive in the lobby floor!
