Excellent location. Close to everything. Love the bed and firmer pillows. Comfortable 1 night stay. Would definitely choose this hotel again. See you soon Rydges World Square!

Only worth the money if you need to be at the hotel early

Just the location is ok a lot of staff dont seem to know their doing one bar staff said they dont do aperol spritz but they do and did, the waiting staff in the ascot restaurant were left by the manager to run it and when they have an issue like with my wife’s Wagyu steak dont know what to do deal with it no even an apology let alone take it off the bill.

The coffee breakfast is close the weekend :(
Not a lot of flexibility in the staff at the check-in.

The hotel’s location is fantastic — right in the heart of Sydney, close to everything that makes the city vibrant. The rooms are clean and tidy, but the building and interior clearly show their age and would benefit from a thoughtful upgrade.
The cleaning policy is where things become uncomfortable. You’re asked at check‑in whether you want daily housekeeping, and later the housekeeping staff leave signs in the room reminding you again that you can opt out. It creates a strange sense of guilt for simply wanting the service you’re already paying for. Instead of feeling like a choice, it feels a bit intrusive.
The cleaning itself is inconsistent: towels were replaced, but glasses and cups were left untouched, and “room made up” didn’t seem to mean a full refresh.
Overall, it’s a hotel with great potential and an exceptional location — but it needs modernization and a more balanced, less pressuring approach to guest services.

The TV was glitching so the staff provided us an alternate upgraded room for our two night stay. The staff were generally very polite and helpful.
