Perfect overnight stay

Beautiful home with all needs catered for. Kathryn and John were perfect hosts. Our rooms were large, comfortable, spotlessly clean and warm. Breakfast was a delight. Plenty of coffee and teas for our use.

Lovely place, with a cheerful, attentive hostess.

Beautiful country house, just outside Tenterfield. We had a nice room, with bathroom and private terrace. In addition, we could use the general areas: large living room with coffee / tea and microwave, library with TV, billiard room. There are also several seating areas in the garden. The hostess, Kathryn, is cheerful and attentive. breakfast offers choices. The pancakes are delicious! And she bakes the bread herself.
Overall, a lovely place to stay!

Great 55th Wedding Anniversary Getaway

Carpe Diem was a wonderful place to celebrate our 55th Wedding Anniversary in a truly 5 star Guesthouse. We had 4 wonderful days and nights here, giving us the opportunity to sample each of the 4 breakfast choices, a great way to start each day.
With the snooker/pool room for a couple of games, the library to stretch out and relax on, comfy lounges to take in the view of the surrounding countryside, the wood-fire to warm both the lounge area and dining room, plus of course whisper quiet wall heaters in the bedroom made of a very cost stay as winter commenced its' arrival.
The settings internal and the surrounding landscape made the complete package, although only 4Km from Tenterfield, there was no outside sounds to be heard at all.
Kathryn is a superb host, ensuring our comfort without being intrusive in any way.
Tenterfield itself is so full of history and and the countryside for bushwalking and self-drive outings makes it a perfect getaway.
Thank you Kathryn for creating this wonderful getaway.

Tenterfield at its very best

Superb location . Initially thought too far out of town , but it was superb to settle in for amazing sunsets and chilled champagne.
The fire and freshly baked bread upon arrival was amazing ….
Accommodation was very clean , comfortable, warm in winter . Electric blankets were a bonus .
Katherine was a fantastic host .
She was happy to help with any request ….. We will definitely return !!!!!!
