Had a 2 bedroom apartment for 1 night
Spotlessly clean, huge living area, great kitchen and a nice veranda overlooking the lake.
Comfy beds and pillows. We bought our own pillows and blankets as often cabins are lacking, not here, everything you'll need for a night or a week.

A bad experience

Arrived late on Friday night, office was closed. I had already rang a number which I thought was for that property. We started to set up camp when the caretaker told us we would have to leave. It was right on dusk and we had already driven 4 hours. My husband was told that we were casing the joint and sneaking around (a little difficult to do in a camper van). We are in our 60's and not sneaking around. I offered to pay for the site and was told that we had to leave immediately. I asked him where could we go he said "anywhere but there and there's no way you're allowed to stay here." He told us he would wait there till we packed up.
An awful experience and I'm concerned for the mental health of the caretaker. I hope no one has to experience what we did.

A good stopover for fishermen.

Well placed Caravan Park, with very clean and new amenities block. A short run to the Dam for boat launching and fishing, and a reasonably quick drive into Biloela for plentiful grocery shopping. Local butcher has some excellent produce.
Nice and peaceful overall, and plenty 9f space to walk doggies. A relaxing stay in picturesque surrounds.

Fantastic

We had a blast! Friendly hosts (they couldn’t be more helpful) , clean facilities, dump point and large sites! Close to the dam for fishing and kayaking. Even caught a Barra from the shore. Not far to Biloela for supplies or a meal out. Will definitely be back!

Small park, no view from under a dam wall

The facilities were modern and clean. However there were only three bathroom cubicles so one had to wait at times. We did not score a powered site as they were busy and totally booked. We took a non powered site on a nice grass area. It provided a good sunset. We had a fire too. But...I do not think it is ideal to be camped under the giant dam wall. I did hike up for a view. Dam was half full and rather unspectacular. I would suggest a better area be set up for powered and unpowered sites. The demand is there. Even if the water is not.
