Centrally based
These apartments are mid way between Desert Gardens hotel and the Town Square so very convenient for supermarket shopping and also pick up point for tours.
The apartment itself was very spacious with a kitchen, washing machine and dryer, dining area, lounge area, small balcony, bedroom and ensuite.
The bed was comfortable but unfortunately the fan could not be switched off in the bathroom which meant I could hear it "buzzing" all night. The walls are also quite thin. We could hear the baby next door crying and later in the week, we could hear the children in the apartment above us running up and down their apartment.
The receptionist was very helpful and professional but they close at 5.00pm, so if you need anything after that, you have to go to the Desert Gardens Hotel reception.
Overall I would recommend the Emu Walk apartments as a base for your Uluru adventure.

Deceives to flatter
From the outside these apartments are nothing special to look at: don't be deceived. From a super friendly reception, where nothing is too much trouble, to spacious and comfortable (2 bedroom apartments) flats this represent good value for money. Our apartment was spacious and clean and well equipped, even down to an air fyer! There is even one sachet of powder for the washing machine - I couldn't find more sachets in the local supermarket, so it would be helpful to know if reception stock or sell additional sachets. That's really my only grumble. But be aware there are steps to confront with luggage even for ground floor (US level 1) apartments. The apartments are a short walk to the local supermarket in Town Square, but be aware that everything costs more than elsewhere, as it has to be trucked in. Would certainly use these apartments on any future visit

Absolutely loved staying here. Clean rooms, roomy. Location was perfect.
Value for money. Atmosphere was perfect. Nothing to fault at all.
Definitely stay here again and recommend to everyone. No noise at all. Great service. So many amenities. Loved this place.

Emu Walk Apartments Are Nice, Ayers Rock Resorts is EXPENSIVE
I'll comment on two things in my review: Emu Walk Apartments themselves, and the overall experience of the Ayers Rock Resort.
Emu Walk Apartments were great. Check-in was easy, the staff was friendly and helpful. We found our room to be clean and spacious. No complaints.
We probably didn't research enough, but overall we were taken aback by just how EXPENSIVE a trip to Uluru is, as well as how tightly controlled all the times and tours are. We'd booked a couple of things in advance thinking we could add more experiences to our plan when we arrived. Don't do this... things sell out. And everything is absurdly expensive. Luckily we were only there two nights and are able to afford the attitude of "well, we're only here once," but still. They have you captive at the resort and all the restaurants are expensive for what they are (though we did enjoy all our meals). We were even surprised that after purchasing national park passes you can't just go explore the park. You pretty much then need to book an expensive tour, or buy tickets for the slightly less expensive hop-on, hop-off bus, which then runs on a very tight and specific schedule. We've spent a lot of time in national parks in the United States and Canada and those experiences have all felt a lot more accessible than this did.
Net, visiting here is likely a once in a lifetime event, and it's amazing, but be prepared to be gouged.

Aging but pleasant
The apartments could use a refresh. But they are comfortable, spacious, and clean. The heating is not effective. It is very hot upstairs and cold downstairs. The terrace has the merit of existing but is neither pleasant nor functional.
